At the very top of the beautiful Alpujarran village of Valor, adjoining open countryside with spectacular views across the valley, this apartment in a large old village house offers compact but comfortable accommodation for four. The house is approached via narrow winding alleys, more suited to working mules and donkeys – which you will see! - than cars, but there is ample parking alongside the house. Tranquility guaranteed, together with a taste of traditional Spanish village life. Apartment guests have exclusive use of the small secluded terrace with newly installed plunge pool. Here you will be able to cool off and relax after a morning wandering the thyme-scented hills, exploring the white villages or perhaps buying fresh vegetables in one of the colourful village markets. Be sure to bring a Spanish dictionary – English is not spoken here! If you don’t want to travel far, the village of Valor has everything you need – a bakery, a pharmacy, several small shops and a number of friendly bars serving meals and tapas. In this part of Spain you are given a free tapa with every alcoholic drink! Valor also boasts its own public open air swimming pool. Banks and more extensive shopping facilities can be found in the charming nearby market town of Ugijar (15 minutes by car – or there is a daily bus). For those wishing to explore further, the Mediterranean coast is approximately 90 minutes drive away and the stunning city of Granada can be reached in two hours (also by daily bus for the more intrepid!)
