Outside is a 10m semi screened swimming pool with diving board and furniture, 6 person 44 jet 'hot tub', covered barbeque and 60sq m sundeck, an external shower room and toilet, bread oven and laundry. Enjoy the beautiful gardens that surround the property and admire the many different species of birds that live in the hedgerows and trees or, if you feel energetic enough, play 5 a side football - yes there is a grassed pitch with goals each end, swings and a slide for the children or play badminton, volleyball and outside table tennis. This family holiday base is ideal for those you wish to explore or tour in the region of Oest.

'Casa Dunvegan' is located on the minor road from Obidos in the small village of Avarela towards Bairro da Luz and then onto Caldas Rainha. Avarela is just 3 minutes drive from Obidos and the A8 Motorway leading to Lisbon or Leiria. It is 8 minutes to the many shops of Caldas Rainha, 15-20 minutes to the famous Praia Del Rey golfcourse and around the same to the safe beaches of Obidos Lagoon. The location is ideal for those wishing to explore the land of Oest that includes, many castles, museums, churches, monastries, vineyards and the ancient towns of Tomar, Alcobaca, Batalha, Lourinha, Santarem, Leiria, Fatima or the fishing ports of Peniche and Nazare. A short drive away are several spectacular surfing beaches both north and south of Peniche. For children water parks are situated at Penich and Nazare.

Near attractions - Entertainment - Information: Obidos Lagoon (15mins) is one of the largest salt water lagoons with a magnificient sandbar situated between it and the sea. The protected beach and dunes make it the perfect place for safe swimming and boating. Peniche (20mins) possesses a rich and long history with its main activity being fishing and agriculture, a striving town with superb fish restaurants. Caldas Rainha (8 mins) is the closest city with its many shops, supermarkets and chain stores. It has markets open daily for fresh vegetable and fish as well as the added attractions of a public swimming pool, museums, a bull ring, cinema and several discotheques. It is the main shopping area for the region.
