In a secluded corner of a large estate, with its forest of old pine trees and beautifully kept private gardens, stands a cluster of half a dozen houses with very traditional Portuguese architecture. This is a wonderful house to return home after a lazy day on the beach with the lagoon with its very calm waters, like a lake, on one side and the Ocean waves on the other, perfect for surfing, or from a visit to the many historical and touristic places nearby. Lisbon, with so many things to see, is only at about 1 hour's driving, and so is Sintra, Estoril and Cascais.
The living room runs almost entire length of the house and is tastefully and comfortably furnished, with open fire place, sofa, easy chairs, hi-fi, and satelite TV. To one side of the living is a large dining table, and french windows open onto a lawned garden and swimming pool (6m x 3.5m) with a most wonderful view over the lagoon of Óbidos. The very pretty and colourful bedrooms have traditional iron bedsteads and the double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.
This house is only opened from April to the end of September.
