3 Bedroom Cottage in Obidos

Built on a hill this house has a wide view over the countryside. The beach of Bom Sucesso with its fantastic salt water lagoon, with water as calm as a lake, and on the other side the waves of the Atlantic for a more energetic bath, is only at about 15 Kms to the North.
Golfers will find the well known Golf Course of Praia d'El Rey, considered one of the best in Europe, less than 30 minutes away.
Obidos, the medieval walled town, is a must as well as many other places of historical and touristic interest. At the town of Peniche, besides the Fort, you will find many very good restaurants, their speciality being fresh fish just got out of the sea, sardines and qcaldeiradaq. From there you can take a boat to the Islands of Berlengas, a bird sanctuary.
Lisbon is only at the distance of one hour as well as Sintra, World Heritage, Estoril, Cascais and many other places worth a visit.
You will find very good supermarkets and all facilities you might need at about 20 minutes.
The house itself is built in the middle of a very nice garden with lawns and flowers. The very large pool has garden furniture and a mobile barbecue.
On the ground floor you will find the very comfortable living room with a table for meals and an open fireplace. The modern and well equiped kitchen is separated by an arch. There is also a double bedroom with a complete bathroom.
The access to the first floor is by a steep staircase with banisters on both sides and gates at the top and bottom to prevent the children from falling. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two beds one under the other, both with bathrooms ensuite.
Although the house is by the road there is little traffic which might increrase on week ends in Summer.

The beach of Bom Sucesso, nearby, has a saltwater lagoon with very calm water, like a lake, which is perfect for children, however on the other side you can bathe in the more rough waters of the Atlantic where you will find many surfers and bodyborders. For golfers there is, not very far, the Golf Course of Praia D'El Rey considered one of the best in Europe, built on the dunes with fantastic views over the Ocean. Also it is the perfect location for visiting many historical and touristic places like the walled medieval town of Óbidos, one of the most visited places in Portugal. Good restaurants, supermarkets, bars, etc.,are quite near. Lisbon, with so many things to see, is only 1 hour away. Quite near also there are several beaches and well known towns like Peniche with its really good restaurants for fresh fish the speciality being "Caldeirada" and also grilled sardines. A litle further away it is easy to go to Estoril and Sintra
