Vacation Rental Description
This house was the first property beautifully and lovingly restored from ruins by designer-owner Robert, who has spent a number of years bringing this house and part of the adjoining village back to life. The main house was featured in Portugal’s leading house design magazine, Casas de Portugal. The layout of the main house and two adjoining annexes offers very flexible accommodation and is best explained over the telephone.

The main house has high white beamed wooden ceilings in the main living area and natural stone walls. There is one large and one small double bedroom. The bathroom in the house has double sinks, shower and bath along with a bidet and toilet. There are quarry tiled floors and a farmhouse styled kitchen area with a large traditional fireplace with wood burner.
The conservatory/sunroom has a dining table to seat 6 along with cane furniture.

The annex is complimented by it's high ceilings with white beams and walls, large chimney and wood burner, tiled floors, louvered blinds and small kitchen.
There is a double bed in the loft area, accessed by a safe ladder, along with a double sofa bed in the ground floor living area. A shower room/toilet is adjoining.

The smaller annex is ideal for teenagers and older children with a double bed on top of a bread making oven to give it the character and charm it deserves.

There are four external eating areas (three vine clad) along with a built in BBQ in the large private garden.

We are currently building (see photos) a large bio-pool which is hoped will be ready this Summer, if not there is natural rock pool swimming 10mins away.

Casa da Lomba is a fully furnished and equipped private home and as such needs to be treated with the respect it deserves, we are sure you will understand.
