Vacation Rental Description
A traditional town centre Portuguese house modernised in 2008. Off a square near the marina, this house provides a great base for enjoying the fantastic local beaches, or exploring further afield. The house is only 5 minutes walk from the beach, and being in the town is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The town of Figueira is popular with the Portuguese and gets busy during the summer months. This house combines spacious living accommodation with a great location, only 5 minutes walk from the beach in Figueira. The outside decked area has a table and chairs and provides a great place to eat in the mornings or evenings. The house is on the first and second floors of a traditional style Portuguese townhouse, which has been modernised. The main kitchen / dining room has a modern range cooker and a large fridge-freezer with ice maker. There is also a large dining table and chairs. There is also a large, separate living room, and the house has wireless broadband. Figueira is a great location for a surfing and beach holiday, or is well located to use as a base for exploring the local area. The town of Figueira itself has plenty of shops and restaurants, and as a popular resort with the Portuguese, tends to get quite lively during the summer months! Please note the ground floor of the house is a self-contained flat retained for private use by us. The house is great for groups looking for a base to surf or make the most of the fantastic local beaches. There are steps up to the decked area, and the house may not be suitable for very young children. We would recommend it for groups of adults or older children. The house has a large decked area on the first floor. There is also a small courtyard under the decking which can be used for storing surfboards, airing washing etc. There is also an outdoor wetroom on the first floor which can be used for cleaning wetsuits.
The house does not have heating or air conditioning, but is a traditionally built house and keeps cool in the summer and relatively warm in the winter months when temperatures average around 15 degrees during the day.
