Vacation Rental Description
The two bedroom ground floor apartment has recently been renovated and is fully equipped. Outside there is a furnished terrace for alfresco meals and sunbathing, also lawns beneath shady fruit trees and vines.  
Chapa is a quiet rural village yet is just a few minutes drive from excellent motorways for exploring this beautiful region of Portugal. The historic market town of Amarante is just 10km distant with its many cafe-bars and restaurants to enjoy.  
Nearby is an 18 hole golf course, seasonal water park and indoor wave pool as well as a number of outdoor pools. Or you may prefer the natural attraction of the nearby river beach where you can swim in the cool, clean waters of the river Tâmega. Also enjoy walks or cycle rides along the newly completed ecotrail, replacing the old train route to Amarante, with spectacular views over the Tâmega vale.

Dining table & chairs. Cleaning/towels/ Towels & bed linen are included. The apartment is cleaned on changeover day; a maid service is available on request. FURTHER DETAILS: The accommodation generally stays at a comfortable temperature but cooling fans are available for the hottest times. During the colder months electric radiators can be provided at an extra cost. There are no steps inside or outside the property so is suitable for people with mobility difficulties. There is a terrace with table and chairs, umbrella and sun loungers, a barbecue and a plunge pool. Also a lawned area surrounded by vines. Off-road parking.

There are bicycles available, also tennis rackets and football to play at the nearby games court. There is a safe cycle route along the newly completed ecotrail. It runs alongside the River Tamega for approximately 7km. 
A short walk away is the river beach where you an swim and relax. Also there are beautiful sandy beaches at Porto, at about an hours drive. 
A drive of about 40 minutes can take you to the Douro river; here you can visit the renowned Port wine farms where the grapes grow on precipitous terraces above the river, or enjoy a cruise from the town of Regua. 
At a similar distance is the historic town of Guimarães, the old capital of Portugal. 
There is fishing in the nearby rivers and the owner can assist in obtaining the necessary licences.

Prices are for the apartment in pounds per week. While the apartment is most comfortable for a maximum of 4 people, up to 6 can be accommodated by prior arrangement with the owner. Lets outside the above period may be available, please contact the owner for more information.
Changeover day: Flexible. Departures are normally anticipated by 10:30am and arrival after 3pm.
Booking notes: Please book by telephone or by email. A 30% deposit is normally required when booking by cheque or bank transfer. The balance is due on arrival. We will normally send an e-mail confirming the booking details.
