The Caves, the Centre for Volcanism and the Water Gardens of São Vicente are spectacular and have a pedagogical function. They are an example of the balance of Nature, where forest and waterways meet in harmony. These infrastructures function as an organic whole providing knowledge, fun, pleasure and support, in an entertaining, pedagogical, historical and scientific form. The purpose is to publicise on a regional, national and international scale the fundamental role for Humanity played by water, volcanology and the environment. They educate while they entertain; they raise awareness and are fun at the same time.
