Vacation Rental Description
This lovely apartment as new (just refurbished) - with atractive and reasonable prices - is located just five minutes' walk from the sea, 2Km. away from the city centre, just in the middle of the tourist area. Quiet and peaceful, yet only two minutes to the mini-market, pharmacy, bars. Easy access to all amenities, including many excellent restaurants for eating out. The apartment benefits the building-owned private pool. Leading from the bedroom and living room are two spacious balcony with stunning sea views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With two single beds and sofa-bed for two young people in preference older than 5 (it's a 9th. floor). The apartment is ideal for a couple and couple with up to 2 children.
Facilities
Madeira is a lovely sunny island off the coast of Portugal in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is a very popular destination due to its temperate climate (from 14 to 27º centigrades) and lush scenery. Famous for Madeira wine and embroidery it's an uneven place to get secure walking circuits in the mountains through water-courses (levadas). Funchal, Madeira's main city, is located at the the south side of the island. It is built around the famous harbour and enjoys stunning views of the Atlantic. The old city with it's narrow streets is duly restored and you'll find plenty of restaurants where you can relish the nice Madeira food.
Activities
At 500m walking it's Lido, a popular resort, including a 50m pool, bathing both at pool and sea, restaurant, snack-bar, coffee-shop, esplanade and plenty of space for sun-bathe.
From Lido resort to the west, a stunning promenade following the shore for families walking.
There is a golf course (Palheiro) within 15 mins drive.
