Vacation Rental Description
CASA NO AR, a typical Portuguese country cottage dating back 300 years, is set in the peaceful woodlands, above the picturesque village of Penedo, with its church square, fountain, bakery, grocery shop and two cafes, just a 5 minute walk away. The nearby villages of Almoçogeme and Colares, just a 5 minute drive away, offer several reasonable, family run restaurants, and a weekend farmer's market, and wonderful sandy beaches - Praia Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maças.  
The Main House (sleeps 6/8) has a country Kitchen/Diningroom with fireplace, flagstone floor, stairs made from the old wine press lead to an open mezzanine (with single sofabed), and through a natural rock room to the Livingroom, also with fireplace, a covered varandah with magnificent views to the Sintra mountain and to the Atlantic coast, there is a double sofabed, and a bathroom (shower) with 18th Century tiles. To one side of the kitchen is a small double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, to the other side is a bathroom, double bedroom, and wooden stairs to two small, low-ceiling bedrooms, each with a single bed and a pull-out bed, ideal for 4 children. 
 
The Pool House (sleeps 2)is reached through the terraced Garden, with covered Barbecue/dining area next to the Pool. There is a small glazed Sitting room with kitchenette, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. 
 
The Main House or Pool House can be rented seperately (except in July and August) and Casa da Lua (sleeps 4/5) next door connected by a garden gate, can be rented for larger groups of 14/15
