The area has no industries around and is therefore one of the regions in Europe with the most unpolluted ambience.
The County Town SINTRA (World Cultural Heritage) is a picturesque and historic place. It has been the summer residence of the Potuguese kings and they certainly knew where the world is most beautiful. Lord Byron called it
'The Glorious Garden of Eden'. You will find here castles, palaces, enchanted gardends with an opulent flora where heather, rhododendron, mimosa and camelia grow and bloom as well as cactus and palm trees.
A lot of different cultural events make Sintra a real experience.
Quite a number of smaller and bigger clean beaches with clean waters still undestroyed by construction and not overcrowded by tourists offer at the Atlantic Coast all kinds of activities, fun and relaxation for all tastes. Some sea water swimming pools in the area complete this offer.
Within a radius of 30 km (good public transports available) there is the Portuguese Capital Lisbon with its great cultual offer, the elegant Estoril with its worldfamous casino, Cascais - the many-sided lively former fishermen's village, Cabo da Roca - the most western point of the European Continent, Ericeira a typical old fishing village with a lot of good fish restaurants, Mafra with its impressive monastary and a lot of other small and typical villages, partly with very good rural restaurants.
Praia das Maçãs where the apartment is situated is a small village with a nice beach, a lot of restaurants, bars and cafes offering good fresh fish and all kinds of snack for everybodies taste and purse.
You will also find a daily fresh market (fruit, vegetable, fish, flowers), 2 little supermakets, a bakery for the tasty bred and rolls, a butcher with high quality meat and last not least also a pharmacy

The comfortable apartment with a nice balcony with wonderful views to the Atlantic Ocen and the Sintra Mountains is
equipped with modern, light furniture, has Satelite-TV, radio. The sofa in the living room can also sleep 2 persons.
The cosy sleeping room with big, built-in ward-robe has two spacious beds. The modern bathroom has a shower cabin, Bidet, WC and a double wash basin.
In the kitchen you find the dining table close to the large sliding window with stunning views to the ocean and the sunset. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything and has a fridge with deep freezer, a dish washing machine and electric stove with 4 hot plates. You will always find basic cooking ingredients like: salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, sugar etc.
There are also all kinds of towels also for the beach and towelling dressig gowns.

The apartment is comfortable and very well equipped. It is situated in a pure residencial area close to the beach and to the little village Praia das Maçãs where find all kind of food, a pharmacy, a daily fresh market, a lot of restaurants and snack bars for any taste and purse.

The price per day in Euros is for an occupation with 2 persons. Any aditional person pays 10,-- Euros in low season 15,-- " in middle season 20,-- " in high season Special prices are upon request For the binding confirmation of the reservation the paymenyt of 50 % of the total amount is requested by bank transfer (after arrival of the money in my account).The remaining amount has to be paid on the day of arrival against the keys.
