Villa Colaco is in a safe area in the pretty village of Aldeia dos Irmãos, in a private condominium of only four houses but with its own entrance from the street and private gardens and swimming pool. It therefore combines ideally privacy with security. The amenities of the village are within walking distance. The village square is 100m away.
The house is only available July and August. It is a family home the rest of the year, so you will find all the home comforts you may require the moment you arrive! Villa Colaco lends itself to an indoor/outdoor life and is fully air-conditioned. You will fully enjoy the sheltered garden, warm but with many shaded areas. The spacious private swimming pool provides welcome refreshment.
The house is decorated to a very high standard. The main entrance is directly from the street; within its hall there are 5 steps to reach the ground floor. On this floor, we find a double bedroom with its en-suite bathroom.
We also find on this floor the living room with comfortable sofa and armchairs for 8 people, the fireplace provides an atmospheric focal point; the large flat screen TV (satellite channels), CD player and DVD all enhance your entertainment. The indoor dining area sits 8 people. Doors give access to a lovely terrace, with a dining table for 8, and more chairs for entertaining. There is a lovely view of the pretty lanscaped garden from the terrace.
The kitchen is small but very functional. Gas cooker, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher, fridge with freezer. The kitchen has access to both the living room and to the partly covered terrace, an ideal spot for outdoor dining.
A patio with plants and sculptures gives light to the whole floor. It has wide doors which open to add a table for larger dinner parties, with a "mushroom" gas heater for colder nights.
The First floor is accessed via a good size hall. Here we find one twin bedroom with 2 separate beds and a separate bathroom. The master bedroom has its en-suite bathroom and separate TV.
From the terrace of the main house, a path leads to a separate annex building. Here we find another partly covered terrace, with a 3m long table and benches, to seat 14; an ideal spot for entertaining or just chill out, we find a small fridge, an ice maker machine, a bar and a side board with plates etc... Inside the annex there is a large room with two single sofa-beds, TV, DVD, electric piano, and a small cupboard; toilet with separate shower room and laundry facilities.
The pretty 800m2 garden is a riot of colours with flowers in season. There is a garden shed to store chairs and garden furniture; one lovely feature is the double hammock, providing the ideal spot for a restful nap! The large swimming pool is 4m by 10m (maximum depth120cm) and has a copper filtration system, using little chlorine; it has a special telescopic cover to keep the water warmer in winter but is open in the summer.
All rooms, including the annex, have air conditioning.
There is very good storage in all the bedrooms.
There is secure garage parking for two cars.
A big plus of this luxury holiday villa in Setubal is that daily weekly cleaning cleaning is included in the price! The cleaner, who knows the house, will do all the cleaning, washing and ironing. She will also prepare simple meals such as soups, salads, breakfast, etc. She will do daily food shopping if asked.

Azeitao Palace Folly
Azeitão, 2km from the villa, is a lovely village chosen by the nobility to build their Palaces and Quintas, due to its beauty, climate and abundant fishing and game. Some of these can still be visited today together with the various vineyards.
Sesimbra,a short drive away, is a quaint fishing town, famous for its castle, beach and beautiful sea front. Palmela has a towering very well preserved castle. Setubal has excellent fish restaurants by the sea front and a ferry to the nearby resort of Troia. Boat trips are organized to watch the dolphins living in the Sado estuary.
The house has many delicate objects, so it may not be ideal for young children.
