Vacation Rental Description
This villa is a family holiday home housing three generations and has been built with comfort and versatility in mind. It lends itself to an indoor/outdoor life as all the downstairs rooms have a door to the garden. You will fully enjoy the sheltered garden, warm but with many shaded areas. The pool provides welcome refreshment and hours of fun for the younger ones. On the ground floor, the large living room with seating for 10 leads onto the garden through two large double doors; all the modern entertaining equipment is at hand, including a large flat screen TV with international channels, DVD player, and wireless internet; the indoors dining area also seats 10 and leads onto the separate fully equipped kitchen.
In the garden there is a large table for 10, barbecue, a lovely outdoor double bed for afternoon siestas and of course the 5m*3m pool.
There are three bedrooms on the ground floor and one on the first floor. Ground floor bedrooms: a lovely bedroom with two beds put together to form a large double bed. (These can be separated into two twin beds); another bedroom has a single bed, double sofa-bed and space for a cot. The third bedroom is a single bedroom and could also take a cot. There is a large bathroom with full bath and shower attachment. On the first floor there is a large mezzanine with a single bed leading to the main double bedroom which has a private terrace with sweeping green views. The large upstairs bathroom is in period style.
There is ample storage space and safe parking.
Cleaning twice a week is included in the price.
Azeitão, 2km from the villa, is a lovely village chosen by the nobility to build their Palaces and Quintas, due to its beauty, climate and abundant fishing and game. Some of these can still be visited today together with the various vineyards.
Sesimbra,a short drive away, is a quaint fishing town, famous for its castle, beach and beautiful sea front. Palmela has a towering very well preserved castle. Setubal has excellent fish restaurants by the sea front and a ferry to the nearby resort of Troia. Boat trips are organized to watch the dolphins living in the Sado estuary.

The villa was built with children's safety in minf and is ideal for families with young children as both the garden and pool are completely fenced.
Arrabida National Park
The mountains are ideal for walks, and organized excursions can be arranged with the local nature tour companies. In the National Park, mountain biking, fauna tours, and bird watching are organised. Orienteering, cycling tours, riding and aerial sports are available and provide new experiences for beginners and experienced alike.
Golf Information
Portugal is a paradise where the golfer can play almost every day of the year. Quinta do Peru Golf is a short drive away and other courses are nearby.

Beaches
10km away is one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, ‘Portinho de Arrabida’. A sheltered cove of white sand and with pine trees as a backdrop, its quiet crystal clear waters are perfect for swimming and children, and are popular with divers for their colourful underwater life.
Gastronomy and wine tasting
The region of Azeitão is famed for its gastronomy, and even the local supermarket has a mix of gourmet and standard products. The local gastronomic festival is held from June to September. Fresh grilled fish is an inexpensive delight. Five formal wine routes have been devised in the Setubal peninsula by the ‘Rota de Vinhos’ association, combining wine tasting with sightseeing, arts and nature.

The villa is heated in winter and the beautiful fireplace provides additional comfort and atmosphere.
