The Villa Quinta da Vala, set in a 5 acres private property to which guests have exclusive use, is located in the Parque Nacional da Serra da Arrabida, 5 Km away from beautiful beaches and 5 Km away from Vila Nogueira de Azeitao- a small historic town sorrounded by the national park and well known for its vineyards and wine cellars open to the public. Arrabida beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, and boasts a natural bay with calm waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. the area is also famous for its food so it won't be difficult to find high quality well priced local restaurants as well as top quality ones. Taste the delights of the region from the traditional cheese, deemed to be one of the best in the country, to the Torta de Azeitao, a much sought after local pastry, and the famous Moscatel wine, a sweet wine served as an aperitif. The local speciality is of course a great variety of fresh fish dishes.
