A modern country house decorated to a very high standard, Casal do Bispo Annex is the annex to a sumptious house inserted in the 60 hectare private Casal do Bispo estate. The house is strategically placed at the top of a mound, therefore commanding spectacular views of the magnificent green hills surrounding it. If what you are looking for is a holiday in contact with nature away from the crowds, this location is for you. 
 
Casal do Bispo Annex is a two bedroomed property which accommodates its guests in style. The Annex is reached by a long, sheltered and gated drive which gives a sense of getting away from it all and induces relaxation even before you reach the house. The stylish interior of the house is ideal for enjoying a home away from home in comfort.  
 
The spacious living room is bright and has a fireplace to warm those colder winter moments; there is direct access to the private patio area from the living room. The dining area can comfortably fit 6 round its table. The kitchen is bright and clean. 
 
The bedrooms are to the left of the entrance hall, with plenty of storage space. There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, fairly close to each other. The bathroom is bright and clean, with a full size bath and shower attachment. 
 
The large 9m*9m swimming pool is a gem, with comfortable loungers, shaded areas, large lawn and a well cared for lily pond nearby. The swimming pool is only available weekdays from 10h30 to 18h30. You will enjoy many moments of relaxation here, and at the end of the large lawn enjoy the most spectacular views of the beautiful protected green hillside. 
 
The Casal do Bispo estate is located in the Parque Nacional da Serra da Arrabida, 5 Km away from beautiful beaches and close to Vila Nogueira de Azeitao - a small historic town surrounded by the national park and well known for its vineyards and wine cellars open to the public. Arrabida beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, and boasts a natural bay with calm waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The area is also famous for its food so it won't be difficult to find well priced local restaurants as well as top quality ones. Taste the delights of the region from the traditional cheese, deemed to be some of the best in the country, to the Torta de Azeitao, a much sought after local pastry, and the famous Moscatel wine, a sweet wine served as an aperitif. The local speciality is of course a great variety of fresh fish dishes. 
 
As well as Lisbon, which is only 30km away, Azeitão, Setubal, Palmela and Sesimbra are easily reached, making this self-catering villa an ideal base for unforgettable daily excursions.  
 
The immense 60 hectare Casal do Bispo estate of woodland and landscaped gardens is home to a few high quality houses, two of which are on offer through Sol Domus. Total privacy is guaranteed given that the houses are quite distant from one another. 
 
On the same estate we offer a larger 4 bedroom villa, Cabana do Bispo . The distance between the two houses is about 500m, and when both are rented, groups of up to 14 people can be accommodated in luxury and style. Cabana do Bispo has a separate private swimming pool.

Beaches 
 
The villa is surrounded by many sandy beaches, all with different characteristics. The magnificent bay of Portinho de Arrabida, with its clear quiet waters, is ideal for watersports. Sesimbra, Caparica, Meco and Troia beaches are all easily accessible. 
 
Gastronomy and wine tasting 
 
The region of Azeitão is famed for its gastronomy, and even the local supermarket, Intermarché, has a mix of gourmet and standard products; the "intermarché" supermarket is about 3km from the villa. The local gastronomic festival is held from June to September. Whilst fresh grilled fish can be easily found all year round and is an inexpensive delight. Five formal wine routes have been devised in the Setubal peninsula by the ‘Rota de Vinhos’ association, combining wine tasting with sightseeing, arts and nature. The villa is ideally situated to take best advantage of these delights of the area - this is if you manage to leave it!

Quinta do Peru private condominium offers all the privacy and yet security of one of the most luxurious estates in the region of Sesimbra. Within the grounds you will find the world wide recognised Quinta do Peru Golf Course which offers amateurs a pleasant game, whilst also presenting a challenge for professionals.

Sesimbra, a short drive away, is a quaint fishing town, famous for its castle, beach and beautiful sea front. Palmela has a towering very well preserved castle. Setubal has excellent fish restaurants by the sea front and a ferry to the nearby resort of Troia. Boat trips are organized to watch the dolphins living in the Sado estuary.
The local white sandy beaches are as close as 5 Km and the Arrabida beach is known to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. With its calm waters, it's ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
The outdoor swimming pool for private use of guests is reached in the lower part of the private gardens.
The villa is heated in winter and the beautiful fireplace provides additional comfort and atmosphere.

The motorway junction is 6km away. The local pretty village of Vila Nogueira de Azeitão is 2km away and has shops and supermarkets (even a "intermarché") for your daily requirements. There is a tourist bureau here and many points of interest. A car is essential for this holiday as there is no public transport to the Villa.
