This luxurious and spacious villa is situated just outside the exclusive Quinta da Marinha resort overlooking an unexpected landscape of woods and beautiful nature. Entering the villa through the colourful mexican style hall, the atrium leads to a flood of light streaming through the French windows of the spacious dining room ahead. The living room is divided into two seating areas, one centred around the stone-built fireplace, the other equipped with a Satellite TV, both are bathed in the sun whilst providing seating for up to twelve people; from the comfortable sofas, the broad vista looks across the garden to the amazing swimming pool. There is direct access to the patio and gardens from this room. 
 
 
Straight ahead from the atrium the dining room is equipped with a dark wood table and eight traditionally sturdy chairs; the furniture keeping with the modern mexican ambiance of the house. The modern, fully equipped kitchen, off the left of the atrium, comes with plenty of storage space and surfaces including a breakfast table. The tranquil garden has a table and chairs and a barbecue for al fresco cooking.  
 
 
On the ground floorthere is also one single bedroomwith a window opening to the garden from which we can smell the aroma of eucalyptus and pine that floats on the breeze. There is a social lavatory on this floor.  
 
 
Going up the stairs from the atrium we will find a spacious top floor all of it surrounded by a balcony and flooded with light. On this floor there is a second small living room, which can double up as a twin bedroom. This living room has a TV with DVD player and a games area.  
 
 
On this floor four more bedrooms are found. The first is a double bedroom with an en-suite marble bathroom with jacuzzi and double lavatory; the second a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and double lavatory; the third a single bedroom and the fourth a single bedroom with private bathroom. All the bedrooms have their own balcony and spectacular views over the well kept garden. The house has plenty of storage space.  
 
The garden is kept in perfect condition by the gardener and the stunning swimming pool with its own shower and dramatic cascade is cleaned once a week by a professional. On the other side of the house there is plenty of parking both in and out of the garage.

The charming, historic town centre of Cascais is 5 minutes away by local bus or car. The newly opened Paula Rego Casa das Historias Modern Art Museum is a short drive away from the house.  
Lisbon is half an hour away.Guincho beach is seven kilometres away. Many other sandy beaches are close by, each with its individual character. Less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast several beaches are well worth exploring, as are some excellent fish restaurants. 
A golfer's paradise: the Quinta da Marinha golf courses are at your doorstep and you can benefit from discounted rates. The villa is ideally situated in a rural setting, at the foot of the Sintra hills, by the luxurious Penhalonga resort. Beautiful Guincho beach, cosmopolitan Cascais and Estoril are only 6km away. This is an ideal location for nature lovers, being in the Sintra-Cascais protected National Park where building is very restricted. There is good walking, with an abundance of wild flowers, birds and animals. Yet the motorway is only 4km away, making Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra accessible in under 30 minutes.
With a large private swimming pool, beautiful grounds in a 3000m2 private estate, close to the beach and the many attractions of Cascais, Lisbon and Sintra, Quinta de Santo Antonio offers an ideal setting for the perfect holiday. Restoration from an historical ruin finished in 2010, and we are now ready to welcome our first guests in splendour!

The Penhalonga luxury resort which borders the villa provides a 5 star hotel, 2 golf courses, luxury SPA, horseback riding, tennis, bars and restaurants.
Sintra, a world heritage site with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and enjoying ravishing views is a lovely 15 minute car drive across the mountain.
Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. The summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais.
Less far in the other direction is the coastal resort of Cascais, where you will find superb beaches, restaurants, night-life and shopping, as well as a charming old town with rewarding site-seeing.

Lisbon is half an hour away, and with easy access to the motorway system a number of other world class cultural and historic sites make an enjoyable day trip. Lisbon boasts world heritage sites, and a rich cultural, culinary and night life.

The motorway network puts the Knights Templars’ castle and chapels at Tomar and Batalha within an easy day trip, as well as the ancient university town of Coimbra.

Located near the main accesses to Cascais, the property is only 3km from the motorway and so half an hour from Lisbon and its cultural attractions and night life. Taxis are available and cheap, and there is an efficient bus system from the village to Cascais and Sintra; but to get the best out of your holiday we advise car hire, as there is so much to see which is not accessible by public transport.
