The house is on one floor, and consists of two apartments, 'Geranium' and 'Jasmin', linked by two separating doors. They are combined as one unit to make 'Casa Grande', for parties of up to 12 people; a large inviting conservatory can forms part of the house and is an ideal setting for large group dinners.
As the house is made up of two units, there are two living rooms with kitchenettes, two private patios with barbecue, etc. Casa Grande has 4 bedrooms and 2 showers rooms.
The house is ideally situated in a rural setting, at the foot of the Sintra hills, 3km from beautiful Guincho beach and 6km from cosmopolitan Cascais and Estoril. This is an ideal location for nature lovers, being in the Sintra-Cascais protected National Park where building is very restricted. There is good walking, with an abundance of wild flowers, birds and animals. Yet the motorway is only 4km away, making Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra accessible in under 30 minutes.
The restful view looks down a green and unspoilt valley with the sea in the far distance in one direction, and the mystical Sintra mountains in the other.
With a large swimming pool, beautiful grounds in a 5000m2 estate shared with another villa, close to the beach and the many attractions of Cascais, Lisbon and Sintra, this house offers an ideal setting for a perfect holiday. Totally refurbished, our property provides you with peace and privacy amongst the beauty and tranquility of nature but with all you might want close by. The large, covered pool means the water is warm enough for you to swim from April to November; sliding doors allow you to catch a cooling breeze in the hot summer months. The extensive gardens and outdoor games area can be enjoyed all year round.
The village of Malveira da Serra is less than five minutes walk away, with a range of shops and restaurants. The village retains its traditional charm as building is restricted, and has long been sought after due to the beauty of its setting, with the coast stretched out below, and the forest and mountain above.
Sintra, a world heritage site with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and enjoying ravishing views is a lovely 15 minute car drive across the mountain.
Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. The summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais.
Less far in the other direction is the coastal resort of Cascais, where you will find superb beaches, restaurants, night-life and shopping, as well as a charming old town with rewarding site-seeing.
Lisbon is half an hour away, and with easy access to the motorway system a number of other world class cultural and historic sites make an enjoyable day trip. Lisbon boasts world heritage sites, and a rich cultural, culinary and night life.

Guincho beach, world renowned for its beauty and surfing, is three kilometres away. Many other sandy beaches are close by, each with its individual character. Less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast several beaches are well worth exploring, as are some excellent fish restaurants.
