4 Bedroom Villa in Portimao

This chic Algarve holiday villa is named after its beautiful colour scheme by renowned Portuguese decorator Graça Viterbo. Villa Turquoise is set within a beautiful resort with everything at hand; the resort has the feel of a beautifully kept moorish village, with its typically paved streets and whitewashed houses. Located at the edge of the resort, almost in front of the beach, the villa has plenty nearby and yet is quiet.

The beautiful house is on 1 floor, decorated with flair by its French expatriate owner. He will be happy to share the many delights of this wonderful region with his guests, and guide and organise many activities on request. A superior service is offered at this villa, with gifts and generous touches, such as extra fluffy towels and robes, a chilled bottle on arrival, etc...

With many rooms lovely patios and surrounded by beautiful gardens, Villa Turquoise is designed to be enjoyed both inside and outside. The feel is cool and modern, with plenty of reminders of its sea-side location.

The living room is decorated with modern Italian B&B design furniture, with B&O cable TV with surround cinema sound. There is a lovely fireplace for colder winter nights. The living room opens both into an internal patio and the back patio, allowing the light to pour in in all directions and catching a refreshing freeze. The spacious dining area is very functional, with white modren furniture, and next to the separate fully equipped kitchen.

The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage space, accessed to the left of the living room. The first bedroom, in restful turquoise tones, has a single bed with another single bed that pulls out. It is possible to add another single bed on request; this room has a TV. The next bedroom, in light blue and red colours, has 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds, sleeping a maximum of 4 people; this bedroom is the favourite of children, and also has its own TV. These 2 bedrooms share a bathroom with bath, shower head and bidet. Further on we find a spacious double bedroom, decorated in tones of light green and white, its en-suite bathroom. Finally, the fourth spacious double bedroom bedroom is in turquoise and white tones, overlooking the outside patio; this bedroom has an en-suite fantastic bathroom with cabin shower complete with hydro-jets, for invigorating or relaxing massages, and incorporated radio; this bedroom also has a large flat screen TV.

The living room opens onto a charming patio and is ideal for quiet moments of relaxation, private sunbathing and "al fresco" meals. Modern good quality furniture is provided. The patio has a great outdoor hot water shower, ideal to take sand off after the beach... leaving the house... sand free...
The whole house is air-conditioned, a blessing for the hot summer months. For winter days, there is central heating, as well as a large fireplace in the living room.

Water sports activities can be organised there or nearby (see below).
Within 5 minutes walk there is also the unspoilt 8km Alvor beach, ideal for long romantic walks or morning jogging.

Every kind of water sport for all ages, skills and tastes is available and can be pre-arranged for your holiday, such as:

The resort has 2 tennis courts (paying) and there is a tennis club with clay courts 5 minutes walk from the house.

Within a 5 minute car drive there is the renowned 18 hole Alto golf course. Within 30 minute drive there are many other courses (such as Penina, Palmares, Carvoeiro...).
Many other activities can be arranged, such as cliff top and nature walks or bike rides; equipment can be provided by prior arrangement.

• Travel Info: Most European cities have direct flights to Faro airport, taking approximately 2 hours, and there are also national flights from Oporto and Lisbon. New York and Rio de Janeiro are about 8 hours away. The Villa is reached by car from Faro airport in 45 minutes and from Lisbon airport in 3 hours.
