Vacation Rental Description
The villa enjoys a peaceful countryside location just a few minutes drive from some of the finest beaches in the Algarve. Fabulous views across open countryside to the Monchique mountains are enjoyed from the infinity swimming pool (10m x 5m+), covered veranda and open BBQ/ eating area. From the gardens you can take a leisurely stroll into the countryside beyond or across to two restaurants nearby and a typical Portuguese cafe/bar. Finished to a high standard throughout, the villa has at its heart a spacious living room with a galleried landing above. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (2 en-suite). The large master suite has a dual aspect bedroom with Super King size bed, bathroom with corner jacuzzi bath and a dressing area. Two of the other 3 bedrooms can have either double or twin beds. Situated in the quiet area of Serra-e-Mar, the villa is just 5mins drive from the world famous Penina golf course.
Facilities
The living room is in the centre of the villa and has a galleried landing above. Outside there is a covered veranda and an open eating area so there is a choice of sun or shade. The infinity swimming pool (10m x 5m) looks over the fields to the mountains. The spacious kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. Outside there is a barbeque and a terrace for dining with table and chairs. The 3 of the 4 bedrooms can be have super king size double or twin beds. The fourth has a super king size double bed. Bed linen and towels are provided in quality organic cotton. Please bring your own pool and beach towels. We are working on providing access for special needs, please contact us with your requirements. The owner lives on site in an apartment attached to the villa. Guests have exclusive use of the pool and garden. Shiatsu massage and yoga tuition are available at the villa.
Activities
Ideally situated for a relaxing break and in easy reach of golf, beaches, restaurants and towns. There are 3 restaurants, a café and a bar/mini-market less than 5mins drive away. The magnificent beaches at Alvor and Praia da Rocha are just 10mins and 12mins drive with a host of bars and restaurants as well as nightclubs and a casino. Other nearby attractions include the Algarve Motor Park's new International F1 Race Track, Slide&Spash water park at Lagoa and the world famous Penina golf course. Within 30mins there are 3 other excellent golf courses and the Zoomarine and Aqualand leisure parks. Portimão, with its restaurants, shops and traditional fish and vegetable markets is just 15mins drive. The historic walled town of Lagos is 20mins drive, from there you can take boat trips to the grottos or dolphin watching. Take a leisurely drive up into the Monchique mountains for a change of atmosphere with its wooded hillsides and thermal spa.
