Vacation Rental Description
Bedrooms: Two twin bedrooms.
The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and overlooks the golf course.
The second bedroom overlooks the rear garden.
Both have access to terraces through sliding patio doors with integral mosquito screens.
Bathrooms: The main bathroom has a bath with shower over, wc, bidet and electric room heating.
The en-suite has a shower, wc, bidet and electric room heating.
Both bathrooms have windows for natural light.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped and tiled with serving hatch to dining area. It has an electric hob, oven with grill, extractor fan, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Utility Room: Hall cupboard contains vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board and clothes airer.
Living Rooms: Large lounge/diner containing dining table with 6 chairs, 2 sofas, coffee table, satellite TV (main UK Channels). Sliding door access with to the front terrace. Polished stone floor.
linen/maid service: Apartment is cleaned at start and end of stay. End of week laundry change on 2 week lets. Linen, towels for apartment and beach/pool use are provided.
Daily maid service available at own cost.
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is offered as strictly non smoking. Full air temperature heating and cooling by separate remote controlled units located in each bedroom and the lounge/diner so apartment is useable all year round. Open garage parking with room for 2 cars.
The apartment is on the second floor of the block, accessed by 3 flights of stairs which disabled people may find difficult. Toddlers do need supervision on the front terrace because of the railings and its second floor position.
The delightful front terrace has elevated views over the golf course to the Monchique mountains. The rear terrace leads via steps into the landscaped gardens and the shared swimming pool. This pool is some 50 yards away, incorporates a children’s section, and is used by the residents of the four adjacent apartment blocks. It is equipped with furniture and the area is ideal for sunbathing.
The apartment is located close to what are universally regarded as the most beutiful beaches and coastline of the Algarve. The nearest stunning sandy beach is only 15 minutes walk away and this links via a coastal or shoreline walk (at low tide) into the extensive Vau and Praia da Rocha beaches which eventually end at the Marina and breakwater which forms the entrance to the river Arade.
In Alvor the beach extends for 8 kilometres.
Alto Golf is a moderately priced British owned course designed by Sir Henry Cotton. The club house is 200 metres away. The driving range is within a 8 minute walk from the apartment and a golf school also operates from this location.
Many alternative and excellent quality courses are within a 30 minute drive away and these include Penina, Quinta de Morgado (new), Palmares and Gramacho, Parque da Floresta, Boavista, Salgados. Within 45 minutes are the courses at Villamoura and Albufeira.
Faro airport is linked to the Western Algarve via a motorway (which extends up to Lisbon and also into the eastern Algarve and hence Spain/Gibraltar) and the apartment is approximately a 45 minute drive away. It is recommended that a car is hired (either at the airport or locally after arrival) especially if the area is to be properly explored and advice on this can be provided.
Both Alvor village and Portimao town are 5 minutes drive away. These locations provide access to a wide range of shops and hypermarkets. The picturesque sea front town of Lagos, the Monchique mountains, and the ancient town of Silves involve a 30 minute drive.
