Vacation Rental Description
Luxurious furnished, 1st floor apartment with sea views from large shared roof terrace. Underground secure parking space with lift access to the apartment. It is equipped to a high standard which includes all the 'mod cons' and air conditioning in lounge and bedrooms. It is in a small apartment block, in a quiet street. The stunning golden sands of Alvor beach with its boardwalk and beach bars are a short stroll away where a variety of water sports are available and further along to the harbour. The promenade area has cafes overlooking the estuary and there are various fishing and sightseeing trips available. Further along the promenade is the recently built sports complex with tennis courts and indoor pool.
Alvor centre has a wide range of restaurants cafes and bars catering to a wide variety of tastes all within a few minutes walk of the apartment. There is a pharmacy, mini market, cash point, internet access and taxi rank all within the vicinity of the apartment. Although a car is not essential, it is ideally situated to explore the historical towns within the region.
Nearby are two of Sir Henry Cotton's masterpieces. The Penina Championship course and Alto Golf which boasts the longest par 5 in Europe. Many other golf courses are within easy reach of Alvor.
Change over day is flexible and we have a friendly local manager who will meet you with the keys and will provide you with a 24HR emergency contact number and advice on activities.
The apartment has an entrance hall with video entryphone and substantial lounge/dining area with private balcony overlooking elegant garden. Electric shutters on patio doors and air conditioning. Satalite TV, DVD & CD player. Sofas table and chairs etc. A fully equipped kitchen with separate breakfast table. Fully equipped with hob, oven, extractor hood, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle etc. The two bedrooms which are airconditioned have built in wardrobes and patio doors with electric shutters leading to balcony. One has built in security box and hairdryer is provided. The bathroom has bath and shower over, toilet, bidet and hand basin and vanity unit. Travel cot can be supplied if requested.
Bed linen and towels are supplied and changed weekly. Apartment is cleaned weekly, More frequent cleaning and towel changes are available at an additional cost. Beach towels are not supplied.
Facilities
Air Conditioning, Video entry phone system, Elevator, Garage, Heating, Linen service, Cleaning service, Sunloungers on roof terrace, Electric shutters on all Patio doors. Transport to and from Airport can be arranged. Advice on car hire etc. Local Manager provides 24 hr emergency phone number and advises on local amenities etc. Small table and chairs available on private balcony.

Alvor beach is a wonderful unspoilt, clean, sandy beach with a selection of quality beach cafes and restaurants. Watersports are available.
Bird watching at the salt marshes and river estuary to the west. The site has been recently designated a Natura 2000 site of ecological importance.
Tennis and indoor swimming pool available near harbour.
Fishing, kayaking, dolphin watching, boat trips canoe hire at harbour with its array of pretty fishing boats. There is a small airfield with sky jumps available at Montes de Alvor
Scenic mountains to the north at Monchique and Foia. Silves, Lagos well worth a visit.
Lively nitelife with night clubs and bars at nearby Praia da Rocha.
Shopping malls in nearby Portamao, Lagos and Albufeira.

Prices shown are in UK pounds. 20% deposit required at time of booking. Balance due 8 weeks before start of holiday. Bookings can be made via email or by telephone. Discounts for long term rental out of season are available. Changeover day is flexible. We recommend that you take out Holiday booking insurance for your holiday. Payment is in Sterling by cheque or bank transfer in sterling. There is a damage deposit of £150 payable on arrival to our manager (by cheque or cash) this is returned or cheque destroyed when it is clear that there are no damages. Minor breakages will not be charged if you replace with similar for the next guests use.
