Vacation Rental Description
Vila de Cabras is a well-appointed 4 bedroom villa, on it's own 1500 square metre plot within the Vista Elite development, just over 3km from Moncarapacho in the Eastern Algarve. In line with Portuguese legislation for all letting properties, we are in possession of our "Touristic Licence". Situated in a very peaceful area, this spacious property offers a welcome haven from the hustle and bustle of the busy world, has tasteful furnishings, ceramic tiled floors, and soothing cool white decor. The lounge and all bedrooms benefit from air conditioning, while the villa also has heating if you decide to visit over the cooler months.
The 36sq m lounge has a Satellite TV, DVD & CD player, and, while you're very welcome to bring your own favourites, has some DVDs already supplied for your entertainment. The dining area seats eight and there's also a high chair available if you're bringing tinies along. Two sets of french doors open onto the terrace, under the shaded pergola, which has another table and eight chairs for alfresco dining. Who wants to eat indoors when the sun's shining?
Ground Floor Bedrooms
Bedroom 1 - 18.5sq m (twin)
Bedroom 2 - 21.75sq m (double)+ 4.7sq m en-suite, comprising of bath with shower above, toilet, bidet and basin.
Bedroom 3 - 16.8sq m (twin)
Bedrooms 1+3 share a 4.8sq m bathroom, also comprising of bath with shower above, toilet, bidet and basin.
The French doors in Bedrooms 1+2 give direct access to the 5x10m swimming pool!
1st Floor Master Bedroom
Master Bedroom - 22.8 sq m and the en-suite with corner bath, shower above, toilet, bidet and double basin is 8.9sq m
There are also two balconies overlooking the pool which are accessed from the first floor.
In addition to the beds for eight we can provide two fold-down singles, and if you have very small children with you, we also have two travel cots available - just let us know which room you'd prefer them to be in and they'll be there for your arrival.
The kitchen has marble worktops and is equipped with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher, sink, (if you really want to do the washing up while you're on holiday) microwave, fridge and freezer, kettle, toaster, and various utensils. There are loads of pots and pans and ample crockery and cutlery for your stay.
The Utility Room has a washing machine and an ironing board and iron - just in case!
Facilities
Just outside the french doors from the kitchen to the pool terrace you'll find our built-in BBQ, ideally situated nearby the outside table and chairs, (which are under that shaded pergola, remember) for eating scrumptious food out in the open air. In the shade you can watch the more energetic in your party work off a few calories in the pool, while you ponder some clues in the crossword. Just around the corner from the pool lies the boules court, a delightful method of whiling away the hours in a leisurely fashion, and we even supply two sets of boules - standard and light. Further round is the double garage which has a table-tennis table and a boxed-in dartboard installed - and has been updated to include a pool table and table-football! If, however, you intend cultivating or topping up a tan, you can lay out on one of the sun-loungers by the south-facing pool - and you won't even have to get up early to throw a towel on it. .
Activities
Well, it'll have taken you all of half an hour at the villa to completely chill out, shake off the memories of work and toil and discover that the pool is your destiny, but there ARE other things to do you know.
Although Vila de Cabras is in the rural and not-really-touristy part of the Eastern Algarve, you're only half an hour's drive from the main attractions in Central Algarve and all that they have to offer. In the villa you'll be able to read through our "manual" - which lets you know much more about local activities, sights to see, restaurants to visit - and one or two to avoid!
Even if you're going to flop down by the pool every day, you will need a car to get you from Faro airport to the villa, and then into Moncarapacho for food and drink at very economical prices, too. We'll even give you the name of the car-hire firm we've used for ages and who charge what we've found to be the best prices - and we're not on commission!

SEE LAST YEAR'S PRICES HELD FOR 2011! All bed-linen and towels are provided and there is a mid-week maid service. We require a 25% deposit to book, with balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Full Ts&Cs on our website. The changeover day in June, July and August is Saturday, but this can be flexible at other times. You can arrive any time after 3pm and should depart by 10am. The prices shown are for the property per week in Pounds Sterling and include pool heating by heat transfer pump and also the air-conditioning. The air-conditioners can also heat for our winter bookings! We ask for a breakage deposit of £200, which will be returned intact two weeks after your stay, assuming there are no deductions. We currently accept payments by PayPal, bank transfer and cheque. You are advised to take out travel insurance in case of cancellation.
