Charming 2 bedroom townhouse located in a small village called Fonte Santa, near to the small town of Vila Nova de Cacela about 11 kilometers from the wonderfull historic town of Tavira. If you want a very unspoilt and peaceful location where the locals seriously outnumber the tourists then this is for you! There are 11 townhouses with a large shared swimming pool with outside showers and landscaped gardens. The development is fully fenced and secure for children. It is an ideal place to stay and to use as a base to explore the Eastern Algarve, its many beautiful beaches, unspoilt Portuguese culture and there are some great golf courses within close distance.
The 11 townhouses that make up the condominium are securely enclosed within their own walls and fencing with remote control electric security gates for access to the car parking area at the rear. The large shared swimming pool is a high specification saltwater system which is much better for the environment and much nicer to the eyes, nose and hair than a conventional chlorinated system. Our front private patio area has it's own retractable sun awning, table 4 chairs and parasol. There are 4 sun loungers, pads and parasol that also belong to this property. The communal areas of the property are tastefully landscaped with electric lighting for the evenings and an illuminated pool. There is a communal garden area at the back of the property with two brick built barbecues, parasols and seating area. There is a parking area to the rear of the property we have a designated parking space. There is extra parking available across the road from the condominium should you have more than one car.
The local white sandy beach of Manta Rota which has a good selection of bars and restautrants is a 5 minute drive away. The large and popular town resort of Monte Gordo is 15 minutes drive. In the other direction the truly stunning 15km white sand beach of Ilha de Tavira, 15km long set in the Ria Formosa Natural Park with a great selection of seafood restaurants and bars is a 12 minute drive and short ferry crossing away.
Faro Interantional Airport is a 35 minutes drive away. The condominium is located is a small rural community about 2km from the town of Vila Nova de Cacela which has both bus and railway access and while there is a bus service in Fonte Santa itself, it is suggested car hire is really essential. The nearest beach is 4km, town and supermarket 3km, Tavira 11km. Golf 2.5km but the village has a local bar which is 250 metres from the condominium.

The nearby Ria Formasa Natural Park is a wonderful place to relax and an important refuge, feeding and breeding ground for many species of birds, animals and plants. It is of international importance, not only to birds as they migrate between Africa and Europe, but also to many resident species - some of which are threatened elsewhere in Europe. Brilliant for birdwatchers, walkers, artists and photography. Near Olhao, at Marim, there is a visitors centre with a restored tidal mill, as well as a breeding programme for the native Portuguese Water Dog, which had almost become extinct. The Ria Formosa is a great place to view wild flamingoes and you may even be lucky enough to catch sight of the rare purple gallinule - the symbol of the park. An excellent choice for golfers, the superb Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima golf courses are within 2 miles of the condominium. The Benamor and Monte Rei courses nearby as well as Castro Martim.

50% deposit to be paid on confirmation of reservation within 7 days. Final payment must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival, or full payment at the time of booking, if your holiday is within this period. Your reservation of a property is only secured after receipt of payment. Our local agent will meet you and take you to the property. We ask for a refundable breakage and damage deposit of 200 euros to be paid on arrival either in cash or by cheque.
Changeover days are Saturdays and normal access to property on day of arrival id from 4pm. Departure time is 10am. However, we are very happy to be flexible about arrival day, time and departure days and times if this is a day when there is no incoming or outgoing tenant.
