Villa Casa da Eira is a large 3 bedroom (300m2) architect designed stylish villa, with a delightful infinity, razor edge swimming pool and gardens, sits on 4,000 m2 (1 acre) in a rural setting close to amenities. 
 
An ideal destination for couples who want to "get away from it all" or to use as a base. 
 
THE VILLA has a natural flow, is light and airy with full length windows and high ceilings. At the centre is the 2 ½ floor entrance hall with windows up to the vaulted ceiling. From here the villa opens like a butterfly with living areas on one side and stairs to the bedroom accommodation and roof terrace on the other. The villa is designed for all year round living. 
 
The huge open plan dining and split level living area, with feature fireplace, has high ceilings and opens out on to terraces to the east, south and west. The large well equipped kitchen, plus pantry/storage is separated from the living area by a bar. The BBQ and a large dining terrace are alongside the kitchen and upper living area. 
 
There is an open gallery entrance to the Master Suite on the top floor. The Master Suite has a large double bed; a full bathroom with large mirror over two washbasins, large sunken bath, separate walk-in shower, and toilet; covered east and west terraces (morning and evening sun).  
 
The East Suite has 2 bedrooms: one with a large double bed and the other with two single beds, each with terraces; a full bathroom with large mirror over two washbasins, toilet, bidet and sunken bath with shower. 
 
A separate toilet is located off the entrance hall, along with a utility room. 
 
All bedrooms and living area have individually temperature controlled air conditioning units (heating/cooling),sliding double glazed doors and sliding ventilated shutters that open out on to terraces and gardens. In the heat of the summer, the shutters and the gentle night breeze help to maintain a comfortable ambient temperature. 
 
THE SWIMMING POOL is set in gardens planted to give privacy and a feeling of space. At 11x5m, the swimming pool is a good length to swim, and the saltwater/ph balancing system gives a soft water no-sting feel - or just enjoy relaxing by the pool with the sound of the water running over the infinity razor edge. 
 
ROOF TERRACE: There is a huge roof terrace over the east wing for additional private sunbathing, or enjoying the panoramic views and starlit nights. 
 
TAVIRA (20 minutes) is a picturesque town with castle walls, roman bridge, churches, and the river flowing through. Throughout the year there are festivals and music events held in the town square/gardens and churches. 
 
RIA FORMOSA is host to a large migratory bird population. The natural park and Portuguese water dogs centre is 12 minutes away.  
 
BEACHES: The golden sandy beaches in the eastern Algarve tend to be natural and uncrowded. The nearest beach Fuzeta - 12 minutes. Barril, a short walk or miniature train ride from the car park, is especially pleasant - within 20 minutes. Ilha da Tavira, Cabanas, Manta Rota, Monte Gordo - all within 30 minutes. 
 
The sea of the Eastern Algarve is the warmest on the coast. 
 
GOLF: The newer prestigious golf courses in the eastern Algarve, such as Quinta da Ria, Monte Rei (Jack Nicklaus), Quinta do Vale (Seve Ballesteros) and the established golf courses of the central Algarve, (Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo) and golf courses on the Spanish border - within 30 minutes. 
 
RESTAURANTS: Local and international up to fine dining 5-10 minutes. 
 
AIRPORTS:  
FARO - within 30 minutes  
SEVILLE - 2 hours  
LISBON - 2¾ hours.

Praia do Barril can be reached by a short walk or miniature train ride from Santa Luzia; Cabanas, Manta Rota and Monte Gordo, etc within 30 minutes by car, and sandy islands by frequent short ferry rides from many points. 
     
    A few minutes to a wide range of restaurants, local shopping facilities; wonderful markets - particularly fresh fish in Olhão and Ayamonte, several large shopping/cinema complexes between Faro and the Spanish border.

    SEVILLE: The world class, vibrant and cosmopolitan city of Seville is an easy 2 hours drive.

    Rental periods usually Saturday 4:00pm to Saturday 10:00am, with some flexibility outside of the peak season. Air-conditioning, pool towels, weekly clean and linen change, plus mid-week clean are all included. A deposit of 25% is payable at time of booking, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival date, full payment will be required at time of booking. A returnable security deposit of €250 is payable with final payment or in cash on arrival. Please ensure that you have adequate travel and cancellation insurance before or at time of booking. The villa is licensed for up to 6 people.

    We enjoy the tranquility and wonderful views across the gardens and up to the hills; the privacy and the fact that it is a few minutes to the local village, and that Seville and Faro can be easily reached.

    We found a local architect with flair and style, who translated our thoughts and living style, and together we built villa Casa da Eira - a villa that is suitable for all year round living.


    Guests love the total ambience of the property and appreciate the accessibility. People come to relax and it does not take them very long!

    A very helpful team of people look after our guests and villa - and we are also not too far away.
