O Pequeno Castelo, the Little Castle, offers you B&B in double rooms and self-catering apartments off the beaten track in a friendly and homely setting. You will find us only ten minutes by car from the beach of Pedras d´el Rei and 4 miles from the picturesque town of Tavira.  
 
Santo Estevão (Saint Stephen), a typical Algarvian village is only about one mile or a fifteen minute walk along orchards of carobs, figs, oranges, almonds and olives. In the village you will find a small but very good restaurant, coffee shops, mini-markets, post-office, chemist and cash point . 
 
Enjoy your breakfast on the veranda with a splendid view over the Atlantic. 
At the Little Castle you can enjoy your holidays in a pastoral area away from mass-tourism in a true Portuguese atmosphere. There are excellent walking tracks where spectacular scenery and gently rolling hills offer you the chance to get to know the country and its people. We are happy to share our knowledge of the region with our guests and to provide them with all necessary information to make their own individual holiday a success.

Our well appointed and air-conditioned apartments comprise bedroom (linen and towels provided), shower room, living room with digital satellite TV, kitchen and private terrace. We offer free internet access by WLAN. Our swimming pool with sun beds and umbrellas is open to all our guests. Evening Meals on request (regional and international cuisine, vegetarian and vegan). Our double rooms « Don » and « Casa Blanca » offer large and comfortable double beds, leaving ample space to put up one or two extra beds when needed. Both rooms got access to a big terrace with views to the sea and the surrounding hills. A perfect spot to sit with a glass of wine and a good book. The bathroom is situated in the tower. We offer free internet access by WLAN. Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 10.30.

The Algarve is regarded as the European finest destination for golfers and has recently been voted the most established region of the golf travel industry. The Eastern Algarve region boasts several championship courses, both at European and World level. Tavira has six 18-hole golf courses in a radius of 30 Km. All are reachable by a free highway. Benamor has an 18-hole par 71 course, 10 minutes away from Tavira. Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima (each) an 18 hole par 72 course, 10 minutes away from Tavira. Castro Marim an 18 hole par 71 course, 30 Km from Tavira. There are 2 Jack Nicklaus golf courses underway which are set to become 2 of the leading golf courses in the Algarve!
