Vacation Rental Description
The apartment is situated in Cabanas and is a 5 minute stroll from the waterfront. It is south facing, catching the sun on the balcony throughout the day, and is furnished to a high specification. Free extras include 2 Meg internet access for your lap-top (wireless or lead), choice of four pools, satellite TV, air conditioning, and even use of a very small boat on the lagoon. The apartment is situated on the first floor. There are numerous restaurants, cafes shops and bars within easy walking distance. The property has two bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room. Both bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes. The living room area has a double sofabed which would be suitable for children. The kitchen is open plan to the lounge and there is a terrace style balcony off the kitchen to enable you to enjoy alfresco dining. Internet access is now freely available - all you need is your laptop.
As well as the play area which the apartment overlooks there is also a tennis court and an area for older children right next to the development (see photo gallery).
Cot / high chair available on request for a small fee. Four outdoor swimming pools.
We have a small rowing boat down at the lagoon which clients are very welcome to use, but it must be stressed that this is entirely at their own risk, and safety equipment (eg bouyancy aids) are not provided.
Facilities
There are numerous restaurants, cafes shops and bars within easy walking distance. Cabanas is a traditional village and you can walk along the palm tree lined road along the bay taking the opportunity to dine at one of the many cafes or restaurants which overlook the waterfront. The village is also a few minutes drive from the bustling market town of Tavira which is steeped in history and known locally as the Town of Churches as there are 22 churches in the locality! The town rests either side of the river with shops, cafes, bars and restaurants along the beautifully cobbled streets.
Activities
Cabanas is also only a 20 minute drive from the Portuguese/Spanish border and you can drive across the magnificent suspension bridge across the River Guadiana to view a traditional part of Spain where many Spanish choose for their holidays. You can enjoy the best of two beautiful countries in one holiday!
There is a Railway Station at Conceirçao (10 minute’s walk from the apartment) from which you can travel the length of the Algarve from Vila Real De Santo Antonio, a historic market town renowned for its linen on the Spanish Border, all the way to Albufeira.
From the station at Vila Real, you can walk to the River Guadiana and catch the ferry which runs every 20 minutes across to the picturesque Spanish town of Ayamonte.
Cabanas is ideal base from which to sightsee, play golf or simply enjoy a relaxing holiday within a very friendly comunity. It is a beautiful place and one to which you will surely wish to return.

The deposit is 20% per holiday with the balance due 8 weeks prior to departure. The apartment is cleaned and linen and towels changed weekly. Internet access, electricity and gas are included in the price. These prices are a SPECIAL OFFER due to building work in the area. Please note that check in time is 3pm (if there are other guests leaving) and check out time is 10am (if other guests arriving) to allow for cleaning etc. We advise clients to cover their own risk of flight cancellation in their own holiday insurance coverage Available for weekend breaks.
