Pegada is a private residential estate combining luxury apartments and private villas. It is located only a 10 minute stroll to the town centre in Tavira. The estate is maintained to the highest standards as the apartments are maintained by private condiminium companies. There is lovely community spirit and neighbourly feel within the estate. 
 
Tavira is a picturesque town with wrought iron balconies and tiled facade buildings. It is a traditional fishing village bursting with old style character and some modern influences. The nearest beach is the famous Ilha de Tavira some 18 miles of beautiful coastline that can be reached by a water taxi from the pier in Tavira. The boat trip takes approx 5 - 10 minutes depending on what stretch of the island you choose to stop at. The beaches is complimented by a few cafes and bars but plenty of room to stretch out. 
 
Those with a car can further out the coast to a selection of blue flag beaches remarkable un-developed and all serviced well. Further along the coast there are a number of golf and leisure facilities including Benemar, Quinta de Ria, Quinta da Cima and the new Jack Nicklaus course at monte Rei.
