Beautiful restored Quinta in an elevated position with swimming pool and spectacular views located in a small hamlet enjoying marvelous 360º views of the algarvean country side. This large estate, Casal de Monte, is over hundred years old and is well presented and decorated. 
 
Farmhouse  
The large south facing farmhouse consists of a hallway leading to the spacious living room with a beautiful fire place, a dining room with a second equally beautiful fireplace, a fully equipped country style kitchen with adjacent utility room with washing machine and dryer, three double bedrooms (one twin) with built in wardrobes and two bathrooms (one with a large walk in shower / wet room). There are many traditional Portuguese features; high ceilings with cane and wooden beams, thick walls, Sta Catarina floor tiles, natural stone door and window sills and natural stone walls. The pool area with sun loungers is fully fenced and as such friendly for children. There is an outside bathroom adjacent to the swimming pool. In front of the semi covered terraces and BBQ area you'll find a childrens play area with slide and swings. The beautiful, landscaped and mature gardens with several ancient palm trees, fruit and olive trees are illuminated at night. It has a great variety of exotic local shrubs and flowers. The large dining table under the semi covered terrace with BBQ area is perfect for 'Al Fresco' dining. The large lounge area is equipped with TV, Sky free view, DVD player, CD player and a full selection of CD´s, DVD's and books/magazines. All rooms have air conditioning. The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge freezer, drinks fridge, gas cooker/hob, microwave, toaster, kettle & all utensils, pots, pans etc. with adjacent utility room which is equipped with a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher & ironing facilities.  
 
Cottage 
This cozy cottage, Casal de Monte, is part of a hundred years old Portuguese farmhouse and is very well presented and decorated. The owners have put as much effort in the cottage as in the farmhouse to maintain its original rustic charm and the warm feeling of home. 
The south facing cottage consists of a comfortable and cozy living room, a fully equipped country style kitchen, three double bedrooms (2 twin bed rooms) and a bathroom with bath. There are many traditional Portuguese features, e.g. high ceilings with cane and wooden beams, Santa Catarina floor tiles, thick walls and natural stone door and window sills as well as air conditioning in all the rooms. The cottage has it's own terraces and BBQ area and use of tables and chairs. The south facing terrace with BBQ in front of the living room is the best place for "Al Fresco" dining, this in addition to the main terrace with BBQ in front of the farmhouse. From here you have beautiful views of the un-spoilt country side. Although the cottage is semi detached to the main farmhouse the design of the gardens and terraces allows for adequate privacy for both properties.

This large estate, Casal de Monte, is over hundred years old and is well presented and decorated. The owners have done a marvelous job creating a very nice country style ambiance and the warm feeling of a home, offering all specifications that one would expect of a top quality residence without losing its original rustic charm. The property is located on a south facing hill in a quiet area north of Sta Catarina, a charming little village. Here they organize once a month a gypsy market that is well worth a visit. There are several superb golf courses and many blue flag beaches with excellent water sport facilities to choose from within a 35 minutes drive. The nearest restaurant is a little gem known only by residents living in the area which you pass on your way from Faro Airport to the property. Large supermarkets you'll find in Sao Bras, Loule and Tavira. The nearest supermarket (Loja Fresca) is in Sta Catarina.
