Vacation Rental Description
Pleasant in all seasons Monte Serra is a great place for gathering family and friends when all are looking forward to sharing joy and pleasure. Straddling a ridge in a still unspoiled rolling landscape overlooking the coastline basking in the sun, hidden at the end of a long access road, here is peace, quiet and safety for children: no traffic, except for your self, the neighbour, the shepherd with his flock. And a gated wall seals off the pool area.
Stroll over the grounds, pick your grapefruit for breakfast, listen to the birds and at night, enjoy the starry sky and perfume of ”dama da noite”, a flower that awakens when the sun has set. Thirty acres of centuries old trees ensure your tranquility and privacy.
The former quarters of the farm's caretaker became the PATIO HOUSE. Guests remember the tile panel gracing the kitchen, the surprising bathroom arrangement, the bougainvillea canopy in the patio and the dining area brightened by a large window with the lovely view of palm trees silhouetted against the sea.
In summer, high ceilings and thick stone walls keep the place pleasantly cool on a sweltering afternoon; on the sometimes chilly winter nights enjoy the glowing wood-burning fireplace from a comfortable armchair while hot air, sent through the house, keeps it cosy and warm. At the back, a secluded cobbled terrace provides a quiet private corner to relax, improve your tan or enjoy, almost all year round, an "al fresco” lunch in the shade of the Algarve midday sun.
Summary: 110 m2/1200 sqft for 4 guests; patio, living room, open plan dining area with kitchen, 2 bedrooms with twin single beds, shared bathroom-cum-dressing. Wood-burning fireplace with hot air central heating system
