Main Description
Approached through woodland,nestling in a valley with stunning views of foothills and coast, the house is bursting with charm. Retaining many of its original features. Carefully restored and enjoyed by the owners over 25 years. The house is surrounded by farmland; 5 kms from the small town of Monchique with shops, restaurants, bars and market.
South coast beaches, water sports, golf and tennis, are within 35 minutes drive, while the 45 minute drive to the west coast offers an exciting alternative with its rugged wild coastline and national park. The famous spa at Caldas de Monchique is 20 minutes away, for health and beauty treatments - or we can arrange for a masseuse to come to the house. There is everything here for the complete healthy holiday; organic food almost impossible to avoid, water from our underground spring. No light at night in the valley apart from the moon and the stars, and no sound but the wildlife.
The main bedrooms are on the first floor. Bedroon 1 has a roof terrace with steps to the garden. There are views to the coast and foothills. Next door is a spacious bathroom The gallery has a lounging area, books and games. The second bedroom is a large room with twin beds and views to the coast and pool.
On the ground floor There is a large and cosy sitting room with open fire and a snug/bedroom. A well equiped farmhousekitchen with a dinning area and a door to the terrace. There is a shower room and tolet and utility room.
Our maid comes to the house 3 times a week to clean. the poolman once a week. We have English speaking agents in the town, who will make sure you have everything you need.
The house is very popular with honeymooners and families. The pool is reached by a narrow path so it is easier to monitor access. 'Best holiday anywhere, ever' and 'Died and gone to heaven' just two comments from the guestbook.

The Quinta is idea for those keen on walking, painting, riding and birdwatching or holidaying, children and dogs. There are no busy roads. Footpaths stretch for miles from the property into the hills with stunnning views and flora and fauna.The nearest golf courses are Penina and Alto Golf which are 45 mins drive and Morgardo, 25 mins drive.The west coast (40 mins drive) has an unspoilt rugged coastline, with surfing beaches and cliff walks through national parkland of outstanding natural beauty. The south coast (30 mins drive)has gentle sloping beaches, watersports and beach bars. The town of Monchique has cafes restaurants and bars a daily and monthly market,a park,indoor swimming pool,and craft shops. Days can be spent lazing by the pool on a real home from home, cooking at home is a delight with wonderful local produce.Lying in the olive grove with a glass of wine takes a lot of beating

The house is situated in 4 acres. There is a dining area outside the kitchen with a granite table and barbeque. There are two large bedrooms, a lounging area and a bathroom on the first floor and a third bedroom/snug and shower room downstairs, a large double height sitting room with open fire and a farmhouse kitchen with dinning area.Wireless broadband is available in the house and on the terrace Around the pool area are 4 wooden sunbeds with matresses, table and chairs.A colourful garden surrounds the house and the pool which is 5m x 10m. The rest of the property is terraced with a variety of olive trees, fruit trees. and wild flowers. There are stunning views from the higher terrace to the foothills and coast. You are welcome to help yourself from our allotment and fruit from the trees. Walk in any direction from the house into beautiful surroundings

Low Season Price : £415
High Season Price : £970 per Week
Dates held without payment for 24 hours. Payment by cheque or bank transfer Bookings confirmed with receipt of full payment. 10% reduction for bookings 90 days in advance, confirmed on receipt of 20% deposit,remainder paid 30 days prior to holiday .
For £415 lets, a £100 deposit against any breakages, heating and lighting charged at cost. Available for longer lets at a reduced rate
