Villa Gela-mar in Dunas Douradas, Vale Do Lobo is 4 bedroom 4 bathroom villa for the family that wants it all ! Do you want the best location, your own private pool set in mature garden, only a hop skip & jump to Ancão beach, Dunas Douradas communal pool, clubhouse facilities, tennis courts, restaurants, nip into the Dunas Douradas Beach Club for evening cocktails and fantastic food in a superb location, Both Quinta Do Lago & Vale Do Lobo resorts on your doorstep? Does this sound like somewhere you would like to holiday !
Gela-mar has been currently renovated – there is a brand new open plan kitchen & dining room with informal sunken lounge room. All new furnishings, curtains & bedding - everything is lovely new and clean. The bathrooms are completely renovated to be walk in wet rooms with fixtures to a modern high standard.
The villa is suitable for up to 8 people (with an extra child or baby accomodated in a foldaway bed or cot). There are three master bedrooms and an additional interconnecting twin bedroom which is also can be used as a second sitting room with TV, dvd player and Playstation games console. We also provide free of charge a laptop and free wifi internet connection.
Outdoors there is a built in bbq, Portuguese style tiled dining table with benches also a sink and fridge (so your beer & wine can stay nice and cold poolside), the south facing pool is kidney shaped with easy steps to enter the water. There are two roof terraces – perfect for al fresco dining in the evening and also grabbing those last rays of sunshine at the end of the day. If you look through the palm trees you can even see the ocean too !
Dunas Douradas is an upmarket, luxury development, situated by the beach between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago and lies in some 76 acres of African pine trees. It is a safe, family-friendly resort with a Roman communal pool and a children's pool. There is a pool-bar serving all-day food and a reception area which is open 24 hours a day, where the friendly staff will help you with anything from booking tours and discount golf to recommending one of the many excellent restaurants in the area. There are two tennis courts with a resident pro for lessons for all ages. The resort is guarded by 24hr security.
SandyBlue offices are in the local area and we can assist you on holiday if required. Ana and the lovely tram of housekeepers will ensure that the villa is kept clean for you so you can relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Toiletries, welcome basket, children's books and toys, outdoor table, chairs and sunloungers, bbq, outdoor fridge, two roof top sun terraces maid service, bath and beach towels supplied, bedding supplied
Activities
In the villa there is a folder with information about the local area. Before departure for your holiday we provide an e-book with lots of information about the Algarve and Golden Triangle so you start planning your holiday.
The ‘Q Shopping Centre’ is a 3 minute drive back to the main entrance of Quinta Do Lago. There there are many exclusive designers shops and some lovely restaurants/cafes, also banks, multibanco machine, pharmacy, newsagent and supermarket.
The local area has a huge variety of activities to interest the whole family. Options include horse riding, fishing, yachting/sailing, champagne cruises, shark and dolphin watching, 4x4 safari tours and cultural visits.
In Almancil there is a karting track if you need to burn off that adrenalin. There is also an Aqua Park (10 mins drive on the other side of Quarteria) and a Swim With Dolphins experience and Theme Park (30 mins drive on the motorway).

- Travel Info: Lovely airy villa with private heated pool in quiet location easy access to all the facilities of the Almancil, Vale Do Lobo and Quinta Do Lago. Villa Gela-mar is only a couple of minutes walk to beautiful Ancao Beach and also included is access to the communal facilities of Dunas Douradas - more pools, tennis courts and restaurants. We provide comprehensive information for you to plan your holiday before you arrive. We can organise private airport transfers and also car hire - nothing is too much hassle. We recommend flying into Faro - alternatively arrive by car from the A22.

If you are looking for a late deal please email to see how much you can save on the published price. Short stay long weekends available. Changeover days are flexible but during the summer months it is more likely to be on a Saturday or Wednesday. It is necessary to vacant the villa by 10.30am on the day of departure in the high season. Access to the villa is after 4pm on day of arrival unless previous arrangements have been made. If you rent only 1,2 or 3 bedrooms the remaining bedrooms will be locked. You are still renting the entire villa but not all the bedrooms/bathrooms. You will have access to all the other rooms in the villa. Pricing is: 1 bedroom €550 euros 2 bedrooms €750 euros 3 bedrooms €1000 euros Whole villa €1100 euros

We really enjoyed our stay in the villa and would definitely consider booking with Sandyblue again if we come back to the area. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sandyblue to any of our family and friends thinking about going to the Algarve and we have already spoken highly of the villa and Sandyblue. Thanks for the offer of a discount!
The villa is very comfortable and even though there were 8 of us staying there, 2 families, we all thought that the villa was big enough and well laid out so that it felt like we all had enough space. It was great having little extras like the children's toys for the pool and beach and the books and games for the children in the villa. They are the kind of things you don't want to have to bring with you or buy just for your holiday. The area is beautiful and is ideal for families with young children.
We were very happy with the cleaning service Anna and the other staff provided on the days they were there.
However, this was only a minor thing to mention. As I already said we had a very enjoyable holiday and I'd like to thank you and the rest of the staff of Sandyblue for all your help with our holiday. We were always impressed with the speed our emails were answered and our queries were dealt with very efficiently!

WOW .... we were expecting a good villa BUT we were so happy to have a GREAT villa !
My twin girls had a ball playing in the warm heated pool, we enjoyed the roof terrace with the views across to the sea.
The recommendations for the restaurants in the area were spot on - as was the overall service provided by SandyBlue.
I am telling all the other mums at playgroup about Gela-mar as it is so suitable for all age groups - thanks again for everything - of course I totally up for re booking again immediately !

We finally made it home late this afternoon! No delays today thankfully.
Thank you for being so understanding in the context of Volcano-gate! We had a really good time in the second week and even managed to pop to BJ's Oceanside for lunch on our last day - wow!
The Villa was fantastic and we'll definitely be back to Vale do Lobo in the future. Hopefully our friends will have as equally as good a time in the Villa in May as we did.
We have also recommended Sandy Blue to some other friends of ours , who may come out in the Autumn.
