Casa Julima in Varandas Do Lago is simply a 'home from home' experience - there are no worries about delicate antiques, expensive ornaments that you spend the whole time panicking the children might touch. This is your holiday home and your comfort has been thought about in everything you can see in the villa. 
 
Our philosophy is 'you need not think or worry about anything' - it is all done for you ! Our approach is that all you need to do is pack your clothes nothing else .... once you walk through the doors of your holiday home you can relax immediately, kick you shoes off, wander out poolside and sit on the terrace, relax and enjoying the delights that are in your complimentary 'welcome basket' that includes wine, cheese, fresh fruit, bread, water and a selection of local foods ... you're in holiday mood now - and it feels fabulous..... 
 
Varandas Do Lago is a private development located between the famous 5* Resorts of Vale Do Lobo and Quinta Do Lago the area is also known as the 'Golden Triangle'. 
 
The 'Golden Triangle' is a fantastic location for those that want to be near the action - every type of water sport or adrenelin fuelled land action is catered for. For the less adventurous relaxing on golden, sandy beaches with a good book beckons. The beaches are perfect for sun lounging, strolling or body surfing in the waves.  
 
The area boasts over 100 restaurants from lively, local Portuguese cafes offering inexpensive fresh caught fish to romantic, Michellin starred dining experiences to rival Paris or London - all cuisines are catered for - and all budgets too !  
 
In the villa is a well stocked folder with all the details of the attractions so you can read at leisure and book you choices. Before departure for your holiday we provide an e-book with lots of information about the Algarve and Golden Triangle so you start planning your holiday. 
 
Faro town is a 15 minute drive there is a large shopping centre the Forum that offers good facilties for supermarket and retail shopping. Faro Old Town has an interesting history and several historic landmarks worth investigating. There is a lovely harbour with restaurants dotted about. In Almancil (5 min drive) is a beautiful church with wonderful mosiacs that is open to the public. Quarteria & Loule both boast excellent markets that sells both fresh produce and local made prodcuts.  
 
From Varandas Do Lago about 3/4 mile down the main road towards Vale Do Lobo are another good selection of restaurants including the Sao Gabriel - a Michelin star restaurant and the Thai Garden restaurant also highly recommended. I also recommend the several 'beach shack' restaurants collectively known as 'Julias' it is a 3 minute drive from the villa located on the Ancao beach where celebrity spotting is a favourite pastime. 
A stroll along the beach will take you to Quinta Do Lago or Vale Do Lobo both offering an excellent selection of restaurants and bars to enjoy a few cocktails in ! A morning or afternoon spend wandering the Ria Formosa is a relaxing experience - the area is heritage protected and boasts a number of rare birds, so don't forget your binoculars. 
 
We also have available a personal airport 'meet and greet' & return drop off service with private transfer to the villa, the transfer cost includes baggage assistance, car seats for children and orientation tour of the villa.

The large heated geometric shaped pool with intergrated steps into the pool is surrounded by a terrace and paved area - there is a bbq, sun loungers, outdoor table and chairs to enjoy al-fresco dining in the warm evenings. The garden is lawn and flowering shrubs. The entire property is fenced and completely secure for the little ones to go for a wander there are plenty of toys to play with and keep them amused. In the evening fire up that bbq - the fresh fish from the Quarteria market is not going to cook itself, sit back on your sun lounger and watch the sun set - its all so easy to forget the rest of the world when you are in your own little paradise :-)

We have tried to think of everything that you would need or want for a luxurious holiday. There are many extras that have been included in the villa, laptop, Plasma TV's in the lounge and bedrooms, Sky satelite with full Sports package, stereo & CD's, DVD players & about 100 movies, Playstation PS3 & games, lots of board games even books and magazines. The entire villa has full reverse cycle airconditioning including units in all bedrooms. There is a safe installed in the villa so you can keep you valuables securely contained.

The development of Varandas do Lago is set in the heart of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, neighbouring Club do Ancão and Vale do Garrão. Surrounded by beautiful pine forests, the development is within easy reach of the famous golf courses of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, close to miles and miles of golden beaches.

• Travel Info: Lovely spacious villa in quiet location - but very close to all the facilities of the Almancil, Vale Do Lobo and Quinta Do Lago. We provide comprehensive information for you to plan your holiday before you arrive. We can organise private airport transfers and also car hire - nothing is too much hassle. We recommend flying into Faro - alternatively arrive by car from the A22.

From December to March you can rent by the number of bedrooms you want - priced from €550 / €750 / €1100 / €1200 for 1, 2 , 3 bedrooms or whole villa. If you rent only 1 or 2 bedrooms the remaining bedrooms will be locked. You are still renting the entire villa but not all the bedrooms/bathrooms. You will have access to all the other rooms in the villa. We require a deposit of 50% (25% for summer bookings)balance of payment is 8 weeks before arrival. Refundable security deposit of €300 before arrival. Hi Erika
Thanks for the return of the deposit and the discount offer. I will be in touch re future visits. Casa Julima is a superb villa in a great position. The interior is very comfortable with lovely furnishings and the outside is a fantastic area with large swimming pool, lots of space to sit out and a nice garden area for young children.
When we arrived fairly late in the evening, Joe was there to show us in and there was a very nice welcome basket which gave us everything we needed to keep us going. We found everything to be top class including the maid service. I will definitely be returning! Regards Christine

Just to let you know that we all had a fabulous time in the villa. The holiday went without a problem, just a dial on the cooker, and we had a great week in Portugal.


We have nothing but positive comments to make about our stay and we look forward to booking a villa through you again. The villa was very well appointed and the added touch of extra bits like toiletries, toilet rolls and provisions was fabulous. We all enjoyed our stay and no-one wanted to leave.
