Vacation Rental Description
Arriving at Faro airport, we can provide your family with a personal hire car service, direct to your holiday home (Current rate €70 return cost) Some 40 minutes later, you will arrive at the apartment, which is well located in Pateo, just outside the busy town centre of Albufeira and a 10/15 minute stroll to the main square and the beach. Set on the road to Guia, Portugal's chicken piri-piri capital, the apartment has wonderful panoramic sea and marina views and a south-facing terrace for breakfast and those early evening cocktails as you watch the sunset. A complimentary Welcome Pack of food essentials is provided on your arrival which you can prepare in the compact open plan kitchen which has everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The living area has two sofas which can be converted into beds, a TV (we're working on a satellite feed), DVD player and a selection of DVDs, books and maps available to clients. The well-proportioned double bedroom with built-in double wardrobe has pateo doors with access to the rear entrance to the property.
Cots, car seats and highchairs etc can be provided for a small extra cost.
For winter visitors, to deal with that evening chill, there is a log fire and a portable unit for the bedroom.
Once during each week, we provide a maid service to change bed linen, towels and give the apartment a once over.
Just 50 meters from the apartment is the Mama Mia Sundeck and Italian Lounge Bar and Restaurant with large screen TVs, internet and all facilities. You will receive a 15% Discount Card on arrival which you can use throughout the holiday and which entitles you to complimentary internet use together with a free bottle of wine as a welcome for your first meal.
Pateo has a small supermarket to provide most of your requirements plus a newsagent. The main out of town shopping centre, Algarve Shopping is an uncomplicated ten minute drive away by car or taxi. This centre features all the branded chain shops, a hypermarket, bank and across the road is Makro and a large Retail Centre.
A town bus (red route) runs past the door of the apartment and will not only take you to Albufeira town centre, but right across the urban area. The trip cost is around €1 with a weekly pass at around €12 per person.
Pateo is to the west of Albufeira and a gateway to some of the most charming and varied selection of beaches which you will be lucky to find anywhere in the world. Take your pick between long stretches of sandy beach or secluded, rocky coves, most with log cabin cafes, bars and restaurants. You really need a car for one or two days to take in all these beaches and Fatima and Geoff will be more than pleased to help you with car hire and pointing you in the right direction, should you need any help.
