Short introduction 
The Old Masters Apartment is a luxurious canal house in de middle of Amsterdam’s ancient city centre. The building was constructed in 1610 and it has the grandeur one can only find in the historical buildings at the heart of Amsterdam. The apartment is located on the ground and first floor and has its own patio. Covering 125 square meters, it can host up to 6 persons and is ideal for any family of group of friends. The apartment is fully furnished in a warm, classic style. Additional to the lovely furnishing, it is beautifully decorated with copies of the Masterpieces like The Night Watch by Rembrandt and the Sunflowers by Van Gogh. And, if you desire to get up close the originals, all you have to do is walk around the corner. 
 
Neighborhood and location 
The house is situated just opposite our famous Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum on the Weteringstraat. This small street is between the Prinsengracht and the Lijnbaansgracht. The Leidsesquare, theatres, PC Hooftstraat (the most famous shopping street), Vondelpark, Casino, “Het Spiegelkwartier” with the antique shops and Art Galleries and all the nice bars and restaurants, are all within a few hundred meters walking distance. 
 
Interior 
What would Rembrandt’s House be like if he lived right now? Find out when you stay at the Old Masters Apartment. The decoration is bright and warm, with wooden floors and a general classic ambiance. Of course the copies of the Old Masters complete the feeling. After the entrance the living area can be entered on the left hand side. The living area is very light, thanks to the high windows on the street side of the building. The living area contains 3 comfortable sleeper sofas and of course all the luxuries one would want: a flat-screen TV, a DVD player, a hi-fi-stereo/CD and of course wireless Internet access. The toilet can be found just down the hall. 
 
The bedroom is situated on the same floor as the living area and has a double bed (180X200cm). It is a quiet, peaceful room at the back of the apartment with a flat-screen TV, bedside tables, lamps and some storage space. The patio will give you the chance to take in some fresh air and enjoy the sun at one of the rare, quiet outside places in Amsterdam. 
 
You can reach the kitchen by the staircase in the living room. The kitchen, too, contains all the conveniences that one might want. It contains a hob stove with 4 gas cookers, a microwave and an oven. But of course it also contains a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster, blender, juicer, kettle and coffeemaker. In the kitchen you will also find a large dining table with 6 chairs, TV and another sleeper sofa. 
 
Bathroom 
The glamorous bathroom is situated, like the kitchen, on the ground floor. You can enter it by using the other staircase. It contains a bath, separate shower, hand basin and toilet. Also, there is a separate box-room with a washing machine and dryer. 
 
Paintings for sale! 
All painting in the house can be bought. Select the painting(s) you want to buy and pay during check out to the Property manager. 
 
The paintings (size 40x50 cm) will fit into a regular travel bag.
