We couldnt have asked for more - The Villa was like home from home. It was lovely to arrive after a days travelling to find that snacks, tea, coffee and milk had been left for us and the complimentary bottle of wine was very welcome in the evening. The property was immaculate with modern appliances and a really comfy bed.
Perast's central location in the bay is perfect for driving to the best sights, beaches and restaurants (we loved eating at Stari Mlini). As we travelled around the area, we soon realised that we were staying in the nicest village and wouldnt be tempted to stay elsewhere in the future. We fell in love with Montenegro's amazing scenery and vowed to return to the Villa Hollick as soon as we can.

I just wanted to tell you that we enjoyed our stay in Perast. The house, the countryside are very nice, and there is no doubt we would like to go back some other time!
The contact Ana was very good. She has been very helpful to us. For example, we arrived late the first day, and she was waiting for us.
We tried two restaurants in Perast ( Conte and Admiral), near the sea, and it was very nice too. we found the people smily, and relax.... all what we look for in holidays!

My husband and I spent a week at Villa Hollick in Perast in August 2010. Perast is a wonderfully pretty village with just the right number of bars and restaurants to give variety while maintaining tranquility. Our favourite was Hotel Conte Nautica's restaurant - great service, wonderful food - we felt like regulars by the end of the week.
Perast's setting in the bay of Kotor is simply spectacular. I don't think I'd ever tire of the view of the bay and I really hope Montenegro manages to maintain its beauty and does not allow the environment and water to be degraded by over use of speed boats and too many tourists. Perast is perfectly located to explore the bay of Kotor. We're a very lazy couple on holiday and for this reason we didn't bother hiring a car (we took a taxi from Dubrovnik airport) but we were still able to move around the bay very easily via the local bus service. Kotor is well worth a a visit - a really beautiful old town which is not quite as overloaded with tourists as Dubrovnik. I heard Kotor gets very loud and busy at night times - Montenegrins like their dance music - so I was pleased to not be staying there for the night.
The villa itself is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, a lovely terrace and satellite TV. We much appreciated the DVD player during the hot lunchtime hours and managed to watch the entire Sopranos series one while we were there. Swimming from outside the villa is nice and there are lots of places to sunbathe on the seafront. It was very hot while we were there so we tended to spend our days on the shady terrace.
Much like my comments about the bay of Kotor generally the Perast authorities need to make sure that the village stays clean - littering and open bins do seem to be a problem there but I would say that's the only negative point about our visit. We'd highly recommend Perast and Villa Hollick - a truly delightful place to stay.

Villa Hollick fulfilled all our expetations for this summer. Everything worked fine especially the air conditioning was very helpfull during some very hot days. We liked to stay in this nice stone house in the middle of Perast, which is the town where our ancestors lived till beginning of the 20th century. There was enough place for our big family(5 of our children, one doughter in law and grandma). We tried the restaurants and recommend all of them. All the sevicing people in the market, in the restaurents, the guides on the island and in the church were very friendly to us. Some nice people helped us to find the traces of our family. We could go to the normally closed cementry and even to to the island of St.George, which is closed for tourists.
Bathing only some steps from our house was wonderfull especially in the evening after climbing up the mountains in the Kotor region.
It was bathing between the mountains like in our country Austria but with the difference of a warm sea.
I can recommend the region of Kotor and the nice villa Hollick to all our friends. It was the top event of our summer.

We just returned from a blissful week in Villa Hollick in Perast. What a fantastic place to stay. The villa was supremely comfortable with duvets to die for (we even tried to get the same covers made in Kotor as they were so wonderful!) and all the mod cons you might need. The location was fantastic. Just a few metres away from the water front but not too close as to be on the village road itself. The views from the villa were outstanding and we spent many hours sitting on the lovely terrace watching the world go by. One of the real treats of staying in Perast was early evening walks up and around the little paths through the village and up the hill behind the villa. We even found wild herbs growing in the nooks of the ancient walls. Just walk from the villa and get lost along the little paths nearby - as you climb higher the views just get better and better. Another treat was morning cappucino in the restaurant of Hotel Conti - heaven. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Villa Hollick.
