With its clever blend of history and design this 400+ year old house in the Collachio is the default choice for those romantics for whom style is a priority. A fascinating mixture of discreet glamour and colourful indulgence makes this a fairy-tale bolt-hole. The bespoke furniture pieces with the voluptuous legs are well suited to the high ceilings and large light-filled rooms. Carrara marble and silk Designers Guild curtains in vibrant colours sensuously rouse passions you never knew you had in you.

Indulgence Divine comes with a modern kitchen, a large dining room, and a spacious living room that overlooks the roof terrace. It also features a tantalising bedroom set in the old house chapel and en suite bathroom with curvy glass mosaic walls.

The house is situated in the walled city of Vittoriosa, right behind the Palace of the Inquisition and a stone's throw from the luxury yachts of the Marina.

Walking through Vittoriosa (the most important and well preserved of The Three Cities) is like walking through history.

When the maritime Knights Hospitaller arrived in Malta in 1530, they chose the settlement next to the Grand Harbour. Although World War II destroyed considerable chunks of Vittoriosa, today its blueprint remains unchanged with Auberges, Palaces and churches dating from the time of the Order’s arrival, to their post- Siege move to Valletta.

The lovingly restored Waterfront with its restaurants and bars has attracted more refined customers from all over the island, thus introducing competition from other establishments in the centre of town. Vittoriosa is also celebrated for its wine bars, a local tradition that has seen a resurgence.

I'm sure it's the best luxury apartment in the whole of Malta. The location is excellent, the decor is wonderful. The apartment is lovely and comfortable. We were also very lucky as the Birgu Fest was during our stay here. We will come back to Malta! Many thanks and good luck.

Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful colourful place. We could not have dreamt of a more ideal place to spend our honeymoon in Malta. Love for restoration

Art Director by day (and sometimes night) the love for the island of Malta, lures me back several times a year to its shores.

When my partner and I travel, I'm the one that usually does the accommodation research. I look for properties that are a living part of the history and culture of a city. For that week or two I fancy ourselves being in someone else's shoes, to really delve into that culture's real life. A bit of luxury does not go amiss either. When it came to doing up places, I kept all this firmly in mind. All the marketing research in the world could never compare with personal experience.

Valletta G-House was bought on a whim, and the fun I got from transforming it into a house that was featured on various publications instilled in me a love for restoration. With Indulgence Divine I fell in love with the dimensions and character of the place as well as the location. I let my (short) hair down and introduced brighter colours into its design. The house also gave me the opportunity to design bespoke pieces for it, born out of the experience of Valletta G-House.
