After the Mercerie, pass under the arch of the lovely Clock Tower and enjoy the vast expanse that is Piazza San Marco, which is overlooked by the high bell tower, one of the most recognizable symbols of Venice; on your right, the imposing facade of the Basilica di San Marco, a masterpiece of mosaics and spectacular cupolas located near the Palazzo Ducale, the best expression of Gothic Venice and the ancient home of the Doge, where you can admire the extraordinarily decorated rooms, the most famous of which is without a doubt the Sala del Maggior Consiglio.
