Vacation Rental Description
The Molino Stucky Condominium and the New Molino Stucky HILTON are in the same building, with the Hilton occupying the left side and the Condominium occupying the right side. The same developer did both, so we share the same marble bathrooms, large air conditioned rooms and other amenities. The main difference is that the Hilton charges a minimum of € 400 per day for a ROOM, and we charge a minimum of € 150 per day for an ENTIRE APARTMENT.
My condominiums are located in a charming 18th century building overlooking the largest canal in Venice. Watch the parade of boats, from gondolas and private launches to vaporettos and ocean liners, from the privacy of your window. See Piazza San Marco's bell tower and the Salute Church. Watch the people on the Zattere in Dorsoduro on the other side of the canal going to and fro among the traditional three-pronged Venetian street lights. In the evening, look at the sun set over the stunning snow-capped Dolomites.
Our apartments are in the famous antique Molino Stucky, a charming 18th century flour mill that has just been rebuilt as Venice's premier residence. In fact, we share our island with the world famous Cipriani Hotel and Hilton Hotel. Our apartments were just recently totally renovated and furnished, and were just placed into service in the last few years. They are all bright, comfortable and quiet (with special double glazed windows) and are available all year.
My 1 bedroom apartments have terrazzo floors and wonderful canal & mountain views. These apartments have enormous red marble bathrooms with oversize bathtubs w/shower, toilet and bidet; they even have washing machines for your clothes. They have sleeper couches in the living room and sleep 4 people each. They are high on the fifth floor and are reached by a self-service elevator, a rare commodity in Venice.
My large 2 bedroom two bathroom apartment has parquet floors & high wooden beam ceilings, and also has wonderful canal & mountain views. The two bathrooms (one green marble, one red marble) each have an oversize bathtub with shower, toilet and bidet; the master bathroom has two large pedestal sinks and a washing machine & dryer for your clothes. This apartment also has a sleeper couch in the living room and sleeps 6 people.
The apartments have central air conditioning and heat that you may directly control through a thermostat in the living room.
Cooking is a nice way to save money when traveling with a large family, and we try to make it as easy as possible. My kitchens are fully equipped, including all pots, pans, silverware, glasses and dishes that you could possibly need. All this and a dishwasher to clean up with after your meals. I have also provided color TVs and a stereo with a CD player, as well as an iron and ironing board. The apartments are also provided with mobile phones.
Finally, when renting a private home in Venice, always be careful to ask if there is an elevator. The great majority of Venetian buildings have no elevator because the Landmarks Ministry (the "Belle Arte") forbids their installation in antique buildings. As a result, bringing a family with luggage up several flights of stairs can present quite a problem. This has been solved in our building by the installation of two fully automatic elevators for your convenience.
My apartments are sunny and bright, and have stunning water AND mountain view. They are non-smoking, and family owned and operated. In short, I have remodeled and furnished these apartments to my own high standards because I am a mother and my kids spend about three months a year here in Venice.
