This delightful two bedroom apartment (sleeping up to 6) is set in a majestic 13th century palace in the heart of the Umbrian town of Foligno and provides an inspirational location for a relaxing holiday. Cosy and comfortable, there is a large main living room and a covered roof terrace overlooking the town. The palace is situated just off the main town square so there is no need for a car and public transport to the many local medieval hillop towns is easy--with Perugia, Assisi, Spello and Montefalco just a short train or bus ride away. The townspeople are friendly and helpful and there are many wonderful reasonably-priced restaurants in the town whilst daily markets provide a range of local produce for self-catering. There is a fully fitted new kitchen with washing machine, central heating and a wood burning fire. The bathroom is modern with a power shower. An English-speaking manageress will meet you at the apartment to explain the workings of the apartment and answer any questions you may have.

There is a wood burning stove in the fireplace. A covered roof terrace with table and chairs. A wide selection of books you are welcome to read as well as Italian language learning books.

There are many festivals in Foligno and in the surrounding hill towns throughout the year.

There is a direct train from Rome Termini station which will take you into Foligno 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on the type of train you take. Foligno is 20 mins from Assisi, 10 from Spello, 40 from Perugia, the capitol of Umbria. Many lovely hill towns are minutes away.
