Vacation Rental Description
Sant' Orsola was formerly a Benedictine monastery and has been carefully restored to maintain its' character. There's a beautiful chapel with a 15th century fresco available for guest use for reading relaxing and informal weddings/ceremonies. Inside, the villa is tastefully furnished with antiques, pictures and rugs. The bedrooms are spacious and all of similar size (approx 5 metres sq) and they all have en suite bathrooms. The Grand Sala is huge with plenty of space for a group of friends and family to sit and eat.. All the rooms in Sant'Orsola have lovely views of the Umbrian countryside. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. The Grand Sala leads onto a large sun-soaked terrace with panoramic views of nearby medieval hilltop towns. There's a large table on the terrace for al fresco eating. The extensive gardens are filled with a variety of fruit and olive trees. The large (12X6 metre) swimming pool enjoys full sun all day and there are plenty of sun loungers around the pool area for guest use. An apartment is also available for groups of more than 10 people.
Sant'Orsola is close to many famous historic centres such as Perugia, Assisi, Todi and Orvieto. Lake Trasemeno is 40 minutes by car.The local town of Marsciano is only eight minutes from the villa and has a selection of supermarkets, restaurants etc. The local village of Schiavo is just a five minute walk away and has three bars and a small supermarket. There are good restaurants in the area and a large number of vineyards and wine cantinas offering locally grown red and white wines at extremely reasonable prices.
Facilities
Heating is not included in the price. The house is cleaned once a week (Saturday am) and all towels and linen are provided. High speed internet access is available to those wishing to bring laptop computers. Table tennis and badminton is also available.

A 30 per cent deposit secures the booking with the balance payable six weeks before arrival. Cancellation Policy. The deposit becomes non refundable ten weeks before arrival.
