Vacation Rental Description
Located in the green region of Umbria, in an area famous for Medieval villages like Monte Santa Maria Tiberina and Trevine, a mere 10-15 km away from cultural centres such as Citta` di Castello, Umbertide and Montone, “Montecchio” is a fully restored villa built on a lookout tower dating back to the 12th century.
Set on a hill, 370 m above sea level, this holiday home offers unrivalled views of the surrounding hills, with their woods, lakes and cultivated fields. The interiors are furnished in authentic antique pieces, and collections of historical and cultural interest are on display.
“Villa Montecchio” is surrounded by an area of wildlife rehabilitation and horse pastures, and the two-hectare park that surrounds the house contributes to the villa’s tranquil setting. Guests at the villa enjoy exclusive use of a large swimming pool with outdoor shower, barbecue, and comfortable deck chairs.
