Set in the heart of Umbria, Podere Poggio Le Stalle in Macchie provides the perfect haven for a peaceful holiday. This beautifully-converted 18th century farmhouse, stylishly decorated, sleeps up to 10 people and is the ideal destination for families, friends, keen ramblers or organisations wishing to undertake team-building,

Le Stalle has 5 double/twin en-suite bedrooms, a large kitchen and dining room, two living rooms and a library. There’s plenty of space to stretch out and relax or enjoy a swim before savouring a glass of locally-produced wine while seated on the veranda, followed by pizza freshly cooked in the outdoor pizza oven.

And there’s a real feast for the eyes too. The medieval walled town of Amelia is just a short drive away, as are the sightseeing delights of Umbria, Tuscany, Rome and Florence.

There are plenty of activities on offer, from horse riding and pizza making to language courses and and wine tasting or, if you simply want to relax, we can offer reflexology, shiatsu, massage, reiki or yoga.

Le Stalle, featured by two good-homes magazines, is a charming Umbrian villa of 300 sq metres with Italian floor tiles throughout. Upstairs is a well stocked library and quiet terrace, along with five large bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and plenty of shelves and cupboard space to hang or store your clothes.

There's plenty to do during your stay at Le Stalle. Trekking, rambling and gentle walks in the grounds or int the beautiful Umbrian country side. For those needing to de-stress and relax individual Hatha Yoga Lessons and relaxing Shiatsu are offered on site.

Le Stalle and its location has been to host art groups, retreats and workshops and is repeatedly praised for the relaxed and energizing feel it offers the guests.

Horse Riding and trekking are offering by a local riding school t very reasonable prices which include insurance and riding gear.

We also run pizza making courses and cooking courses for guests by arrangement.

The Terni Waterfalls and white water rafting are 35 minute drive away from Amelia.

Plus the are many lovely areas to visit locally as well as excursions to take further afield.

•Notes on prices: Prices quoted for accommodation include cleaning before arrival & on departure, bed linen, house towels which are changed weekly & general utilities. Not included are pool towels, cleaning during your stay & heating costs in colder months & firewood.
•Deposit: We require a 30% deposit to secure the booking with the remainder payable upon arrival. Stays of longer than 2 weeks will be given a discount. In high season (end of June to the beginning of September) bookings are for 1 week minimum. Outside this period we can be more flexible both on the length of stay & starting date though the minimum stay is 3-4 nights & will be calculated on a daily rate. Longer winter lets are possible at discounted prices available upon request.
•Changeover day: Saturday to Saturday in high season but flexible at other times. Entry time 16.00 though earlier arrival may be possible. Departure time 10am to allow for cleaning. Linen & house towels are provided & are changed weekly.
