2 Bedroom Farmhouse in Volterra

Farm-House IL PRATONE in Tuscany 
 
The rural home is divided in 5 comfortable flats: 3 three-room of about 70/75 square meters (4/6 person per Apartment), 1 two-room of about 50 square meters(2/3 person) and 1 studio flat of about 40 square meters(2 person). Each flat is composed of a cooking area and its utensils, bedrooms with additional beds, bathroom and veranda/external area and some flat also have a fireplace. Outside you can find a special space for the barbecue with woods, a parking area and a swimming pool (12,5x6,45) for you to enjoy and relax.  
 
In this farmhouse it is possible to walk in various areas where you can observe typical plants and flowers of a Mediterranean and European climate. 
 
Also, inside the estate you can find a watertight, an ancient bunker and alabaster excavation the typical Pomarancina stone. There are a lot of activities that you can do in your journey as trekking or hannoveraner horse ring for adults and children, under the supervision of professional teacher. Moreover our guests have the possibility to participate in farmhouse’s activities as the cheese production or the milking of our breeding depending on the season time. Francesco e Daniele are always pleased to involve the guests in different activities related to organic cultivation system of the farmhouse. Thanks to Pietrina you can choose a cooking course for learning and using our typical products. 
 
In the amazing Val di Cecina area you can also visit historical cities as Volterra, San Gimignano, Larderello and Pomarance, the nearest to our farmhouse. Moreover, it is possible to visit areas dedicated to geothermic (a way for producing green energy). Another interesting site is the sea coast, far about 30 km from the farmhouse. Obviously during your holiday you can visit the famous cities of Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca etc far about 1 hour by car. 
In other hand you can choose a relaxing holiday with SPA activities and fitness programs.Breakfast 
The kitchen is supervised by the owners themselves and their children (but the rooms have a kitchenette).  
Cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, made with ancient methods and the typical Sardinian cuisine and Tuscan, can be enjoyed by our guests in small inn at the entrance of the business, nice and cozy space is heated by the fireplace on cold days in winter and is accompanied by a large verandah for warmer seasons  
Surroundings 
You can forward on foot in the land business for pleasant walks or observe the plants and flowers characteristic of a border zone between the continental and Mediterranean climate. Inside the property there are also a pond, an old coal cellar, now no longer used, and the excavations of alabaster, the typical stone molding Pomarancina. You can also indulge in trekking-riding on horseback, with athletes Hannoveraner, accompanied by a guide certified riding for adults and children. Furthermore, guests can participate in business activities, such as the cheese or the milking of cattle. Francis and Daniel are always available to make the clients also of systems of organic farming. With Pietrina you can attend cooking classes. Museums and Etruscan archaeological sites, many medieval villages, museum of Geothermal Energy in Larderello. 
 
 
 
 

VOLTERRA The town, famous for the extraction and processing of alabaster, has a great center of Etruscan origin with Roman ruins and medieval buildings. Cathedral of Volterra, in Romanesque style, was erected in stages between the twelfth and thirteenth century. The interior, restored in the nineteenth century, has anything in the late Renaissance. Palazzo dei Priori: is located in Piazza dei Priori, and was built in 1246, in the nineteenth century it was modified by the addition of a crown on top of the tower. Medici Fortress: consists of two forts linked by a curtain wall. The oldest rocks present a semi-elliptical-shaped tower,featuring a mighty tower, was built by the will of Lorenzo de 'Medici. Roman Theatre: The Roman theater was brought to light in the fifties from archaeological excavations in the town of Vallebuona. And where are located the Volturi, the most ancient and powerful vampire.

Our restaurant is tipical, and my mom's kitchen, is genuine, with our
products of our company, we make pasta, cakes, jams, vegetables,.....
thanks to our friendly and produce a very good sheep cheese! Our fram- house has many
, nice animals!
