Filippo and Rachel Fiorentini invite you to our San Fabiano country estate and open our farmhouse for splendid holidays in the heart of the Tuscan countryside.
The San Fabiano farm estate and castle of Count Fiorentini is located in the Arbia valley, just 12 km south of Siena (video), a perfect central rural location to visit hill towns such as Murlo, Montalcino, Arezzo, Cortona, Pienza, and much more.
San Fabiano castle was built by King Angioino in the XIIth century and the family church dates from 867 A.D. and is dedicated to San Fabiano, one of the first Christian martyrs killed in the Colosseum. These ancient buildings are surrounded by 1800 acres of durum wheat fields, sunflowers, vineyards, cornfields and oak woods. There are also lakes and two small rivers: the Arbia and the Biena.
Podernovo farmhouse is the oldest on the San Fabiano country estate, dating back to 1750.
Beautifully restored, it has every amenity.
Apart from the owner's apartment, it offers 4 self-catering suites and an independent villa called Le Tortore; all of them with air conditioning.
The converted stable offers a special atmosphere around the fireplace for family get-togethers or cooking lessons, and for music (HI-FI, Organ, Grand Piano)
Under the roofed area, "al fresco", you can prepare fantastic barbeques or just relax. From April to October you can refresh yourself in the solar heated pool.

• Suite Il Pozzo
Sleeps 2+2.
A lovely loft, with vaulted roof, king size bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, living room with pull-out double bed, kitchen, private entrance from the ground floor, satellite TV, air conditioning.
• Cottage Le Tortore

Independent villa, with fireplace, air conditioning, satellite TV, VCR, DVD, view of the valley.
Master bedroom with king size bed and aensuite bathroomw with shower, a second king size bed on the upper loft, a second bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub, living room and kitchen.
Activities
Within the San Fabiano country estate or just nearby, you can book various nature activities: A tour on horseback (20 Euro per person, the horses are nearby), walking in the 1800 acre farm estate through the woods to the lake to catch a glimpse of wild duck, cycling along the 6 miles of paths and internal roads, golfing at nearby courses, playing tennis at our club, or driving to visit the hot springs at Bagno Vignoni!
