Podere Oliveta which translates as 'Olivegrove Farm' consists of 5 different apartments which enjoy a pretty location up in the hills. Each apartment has its own independent entrance and own garden area with barbecue. Much careful thought as gone into decoration, furnishing and ensuring the apartments are equipped down to the last detail and each apartments is named after a different bird local to the region. There is a swimming pool surrounded by a sun terrace which has stunning views overlooking the rolling olive clad hills, the sprinkling of cypresses trees and the majestic towers of San Gimignano in the distance.
» Pettirosso (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2+1)
Pettirosso is the most inviting flat with its own quiet spacious garden with good tubs, furniture and barbecue and a private balcony. A green painted iron staircase leads up to the balcony, well equipped to eat outside or sunbathe. French windows open into the spacious bedroom, with wrought iron bedsteads and sunny yellow curtains and covers. The well fitted shower room is white and furnished with terracotta; and the very comfortable living room with a neat kitchen corner again opens onto the balcony. This is a secluded and charming place to stay.
» Rondine (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2+1)
Looking out over the valley towards the skyline of S.Gimignano, Rondine is approached by an outside stone staircase at the side of the house. A little hallway opens into the double bedroom with pretty prints and good traditional furniture, (the keynote is green); and into a good shower room. The attractive living room, with its efficient kitchen corner, has a view over the valley. The garden is provided with garden furniture and its own barbecue.
» Gufo (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2)
Ground floor large studio composed of living/dining room with fireplace, twin or double bed. Separate kitchen and shower room. It has a patio and a furnished garden beside the house with its own barbecue. It is highly recommended for couples and honeymooners.
» Falco (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4)
Just up the lane from the farmhouse, there is a smaller farm cottage. The cosy sitting room has 17th century beams, a good "terracotta" floor, a sofa and armchairs, a pretty glass fronted dresser, solid dining table and rush chairs. There is a small but very efficient kitchen screened by a low wall in one corner. The double bedroom is quite elegant. A ladder leads up to a tiny gallery with 2 single beds which would be suitable for young boys or girls. Falco has the attraction of its own raised, flagged terrace, with a barbecue. This is well planted, with olives, yucca and agape. Falco would suit a young family, or make a peaceful retreat for a couple.
» Passero (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4)
The ground floor of the farmhouse makes a pleasant apartment for a family or for two couples. A French doors open off a little terrace and at the front of the farmhouse with a spacious, bright living room looking out over the front garden and the valley below. It has a small and pretty fireplace and a stenciled frieze around the walls. The purpose built kitchen corner, with marble countertops and solid wooden doors, is fully equipped. The main bedroom has wrought iron bedsteads with charming flowered bedspreads and curtains; the picturesque twin bedded room (which can be double), painted rose pink, has a brick vaulted ceiling, herringbone cotta tiles on the floor and an intriguingly shaped window. The well fitted shower room has fresh green tiles. The garden is shaded by trees, well furnished with its own barbecue.

There is a lovely swimming pool (12m x 6m) normally in use from May to September.

From podere oliveta you can walk for miles in the country side through olives plantations, vineyards and woods. A breadman calls every morning at 9.30 to sell fresh bread, milk ,cheese etc.
