Vacation Rental Description
Our apartment is one of 13 in this small newly restored/rebuilt farm complex of 3 buildings. Situated in beautiful rolling hills with views of Volterra and in the distance Pisa and mountains beyond, peaceful and quiet for the perfect break. Set along a private 'white' road (with barrier) ensuring very few passing cars, although there are some 'bumps' along this road a 4x4 is not needed. 'Cotto' style flooring and beamed ceilings with new, quality, furnishings make this a really comfortable and fully equipped base for exploring the local area or just relaxing. There are 2 shower rooms, 1 is en suite (marble tiled). Delightful garden and 2 terraces for al fresco dining each with lovely views and the perfect place to watch the sunrise/sunset. French doors from all rooms open onto the garden areas making this a light, airy apartment. The bedroom has a 6' wrought iron bed with a quality comfortable mattress. Ideal for 2 but in the living room there is a double sofa bed if there are 4 persons to accomodate. The second shower room is off the living room so that each party has its own shower. The kitchen is newly fitted with marble worktop, electric oven, gas hob, extractor fan, toaster and everything needed to self-cater.Private BBQ outside on terrace. The dining table matches the kitchen with marble top and 4 chairs. There is a large 'infinity' type communal pool with ample areas for relaxing and a wonderful place to watch the breathtaking sunsets with a glass of wine. Garden and pool loungers are provided. Podere Torricchi is fenced with a pedestrian gate and also a gated car park giving security. A gravel path runs around the perimeter to reach each apartment ensuring privacy. There are also communal garden areas.

The apartment has 2 lovely terraces for al fresco dining, overlooking the delightful garden. The large terrace has a covered gazebo for shade with Jasmine planted to grow around the frame. Large granite top to antique wrought iron base and 6 wrought iron chairs. Wonderful views to Volterra. Flat screen TV & DVD player. Radio and CD player. Ipod docking station. Safe. Local restaurants a short drive away. A car is essential. THIS IS A NON SMOKING PROPERTY.

Golf & Tennis: about 20 minute away at Castelfalfi
Horse riding: Western style - 10 minutes
Bike hire at San Gimignano
Perfect area for walking and photography, painting
Easy access to San Gimignano - 15 minutes drive - with its wonderful atmosphere, Medieval towers, best Gelateria ever, Thursday market, excellent shops and cafes/restaurants, supermarket.
Volterra - 20 minutes away - Medieval Etruscan town with lovely winding streets full of interesting small shops which sell alabaster and locally made jewellery & gift items. Large market on Saturday.
Siena - 45 minutes away - Fantastic place to visit and soak up the history. Stop at Monteriggioni on the way - is a MUST
Florence - 60 minutes away - Culture, art gallery, museums, palace & gardens, market,restaurants and of course SHOE shops.
Pisa - 60 minutes away - Climb the leaning tower and sit and drink a glass or two of wine and people watch.
Numerous beaches within 1 hour.
