Vellano has one restaurant,a bakery/grocers with fresh bread weekdays ,a pizzeria,and post office plus local social club 'il circolo' where there are dances during the summer, months - all just 3 mins on foot from the house.
The nearest town is Pescia (famous for its flowers) just 15 mins away.
