The accommodation offers the choice of two beautiful, spacious and well equipped eco friendly farmhouses both of which can accommodate up to seven people. They can either be rented separately or together for larger parties and enjoy the use of a shared and secure swimming pool. The farmhouses are set on the south facing slopes of the Monti Pisani, an environmentally protected area of outstanding natural beauty, in the midst of terraced olive grove, fruit trees, birds and wild flowers. Both farmhouses command spectacular views over forest, field, Pisa, The Leaning Tower and The Mediterranean Sea beyond. The ever changing countryside offers the holiday maker a year round choice for travel.

Eco choice: The accommodation is a genuine eco conscious choice. It is powered by the sun via photo voltaic solar panels generating the entire electricity supply. It is natural spring water fed – one washes in it, bathes in it and swims in it – wonderful ! Rainwater is collected for the plants and allotments. With many other green initiatives this is a destination to feel good about.

Great location: The farmhouses are in a superb position: about 20 minutes by road from both Pisa and Lucca, 30 minutes from the coast, an hour from Florence and lesser known gems making exploration fun and worth while. The combination of hills, sea and proximity to places of cultural interest make this a holiday location to suit and inspire all moods and fancies at all times of year.

Special things to do and see here
Horse riding: Ride in the maritime wooded nature reserve of San Rossore and go bird watching on the lake of nearby Torre del Lago. Here the composer Puccini wrote his most famous works and every summer there is an open air lakeside opera festival held in his honour.

Relaxation: Spend a restful and peaceful time at home taking in the views and listening to the birdsong.

Swimming pool: On hot days you can cool off in the pool which enjoys a spectacular and uninterrupted view of Pisa and the hills across the plain below. There is a comfortable surrounding area, furnished with sun loungers and a small table, which is ideal for sunbathing by day and for gentle basking as the sun gradually sets in the evening. Shade is provided by a large umbrella and olive trees.

Walking: Walk well-maintained and extensive forest trails. The views are simply breathtaking and the flora and fauna are glorious.

Cycling: The Giro D’Italia (the equivalent of the Tour de France) comes through this area. It is great road and off road cycling country. We can organise bikes with local cycle companies if required.

Terms & Conditions

Lettings are from Saturday to Saturday with arrival times being from 15.00 onwards.
Vacation on the day of departure required by 10.00 a.m.

Rental includes: bed and bath linen, water, gas and electricity.
Gas central heating is metered and is in the region of 10 -15 Euros a day

The cottages are professionally cleaned at the end of each stay (included in the rental price).

Reservation

A non returnable booking deposit of 30% of the rental price per property is required.
A second payment of 30% of the total rental price becomes due 12 weeks prior to arrival.
A final payment of 40% of the total rental price becomes due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
