Fiori di Campo is a wonderful old stone house situated on a hillside at the edge of a small village with spectacular views to the mountains. The village is reputed to have the best views in Lunigiana. It ahs been lovingly restored over the years into a spacious and comfortable family home on three levels affording every comfort such as washing machine and dishwasher.
This old country house has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a double bedroom with luxury en suite bathroom on the upper level. There is a comfortable fold up single bed available up here.
At the entry level there is a good sized bedroom with a traditional Italian double bed (140 cm) and washing facilities plus WC. There is room for single bed if necessary.
On the lower level there is a double bedroom with en suite shower, a twin bedroom and a small bedroom, that has a traditional Italian bed. There is a spacious luxury marble bathroom plus a separate cloakroom with basin and WC. They lead off the delightful lower hall where the hillside rock has been attractively exposed to make a special water feature. From here there are double doors to the garden.
The house is entered on the middle level into the hall, which leads to the attractive open plan beamed kitchen and cosy sitting room and has glass doors opening to the large balcony which has stunning views.
One of the most attractive features of this house is the large bright living room on the mezzanine level with a beamed ceiling. It provides plenty of comfortable seating including a sofabed and makes a wonderful family room.
Just above the house is a large swimming pool surrounded by an area for sunbathing. The views from the pool are simply stunning and the owners have even provided a rope hammock in which to laze away the hours! The owners and their family often stay at the house next door and may occasionally ask to use the pool when no one else is using it. Otherwise it is private.
The shops and bar are in walking distance and there are many good restaurants in the villages of Monzone and Equi Terme, which nestle in the valley below. The old market town of Fivizzano is not far away and with its bars and trattorie around the piazza, is well worth a visit, especially to sample the ice cream. A very special house - book early to avoid disappointment.

Two shops and a bar are in walking distance and there are many good economical restaurants in the villages of Monzone and Equi Terme, which nestle in the valley below.
The old market town of Fivizzano is not far away and with its bars and trattorie around the piazza, is well worth a visit, especially to sample the ice cream.

Equi Terme, just down the road, is a spa with natural hot water gushing out of the rocks. Treatments are available at the Spa centre.
There are also trips into the spectacular caves, inhabited in mesolithic times.
The ski resort of Cerreto is only half an hour up the road, with a lovely lake and splendid scenery all around.
Lunigiana boasts being the Land of 100 Lakes, and the Land of 100 Castles.
Just 40 minutes away is the old fishing port of Lerici, wih beaches and restaurants along the quai side. From here you can catch a boat to the famous Cinque Terre, old villages clinging to the cliffsides.
Lucca and Pisa are an hour away, and Florence 2 hours, by road or by train.
