“Alberi” is a delightful apartment situated on the ground floor of a charming villa which enjoys a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mola, the mountains of Porto Azzurro, the picturesque old hilltop village of Capoliveri and the mainland.
The apartment, surrounded by Mediterranean pines and vegetation, is away from traffic and ideal for couples or families.
The spacious lounge has a double sofa-bed, television, writing desk, dining table and chairs. Large french doors lead to the pergola, complete with patio table and chairs, sunbeds and deck-chairs for guests to have meals "al fresco" or just overlooking the sea. The kitchen area has fitted cupboards and worktops, hob with cooker hood, refrigerator with freezer compartment, kettle and toaster. In addition, an iron, ironing board and hairdryer are provided for guests.
The main bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobe and bedside tables with lamps. French windows lead on to the patio with view of the sea and surrounding countryside. The second bedroom has twin beds or, on request, a double bed.
The tastefully tiled bathroom is fully equipped with a large shower cubicle, WC, bidet, bathroom cabinet and wash basin with mirror.
Garden facilities include table and chairs, loungers, deck-chairs, barbecue and a solar-powered outside shower.
Air conditioning is available on request.
How to arrive at "Alberi"
British Airways, Alitalia, Ryanair, Easyjet and many others all operate regular flights to Pisa and Rome Airports from the UK and various other European countries.
From the airport it is possible to hire a car from one of the major hire-car companies (www.europcar.com – www.hertz.com – www. avis.com – www.maggiore.com)
From Pisa or Rome. it is just a straight drive along the motorway and "superstrada" (dual carriageway) to Piombino harbour.
Alternatively, it is possible to take a train from Pisa or Rome to Piombino Marittima harbour. There is a frequent and very efficient ferry service (as many as 50 crossings a day in the high season) to the island ports of Portoferraio and Porto Azzurro. The crossing takes approx. 1 hour.
If you prefer to hire a car on your arrival on the island, the owner will be pleased to provide further information on request.
It is also possible to from Pisa airport to Marina di Campo airport on the island.

The beautiful sandy beach of Lido di Capoliveri (within walking distance of the apartment - 650 m), has several bars, restaurants and pizza bars where you can take a rest from sunbathing and swimming and enjoy a meal of tasty sea-food, genuine lasagne, a superb pizza or a glass of Elba's white wine. The beach also caters for a variety of water-sports. A mini-market at one end of the beach will supply all your day-to-day needs (anything from postcards and beach-balls to freshly roasted chicken) and if you want some evening entertainment, try taking a stroll in one of the harbour towns, enjoying a delicious Italian ice-cream whilst looking at the beautiful yachts moored in the harbour. And if you do decide to come without a car, you can always count on a taxi to bring you home to a welcoming well-lit patio where you can enjoy a cool evening drink overlooking the pretty lights in the village below.

Places to visit on the island include the Summer and Winter residences of Napoleon Bonaparte and traces of Etruscan, Romanand Saracen invasions. A visit to the old mines is recommeded.
The quaint little hilltop town of Capoliveri (only 2 km from the apartment) is a hive of activity in the summer months, particularly in the evening, and well worth a visit. It is perhaps one of the most spectacular and characteristic spots on the whole island, offering views over the rest of the island, Corsica, the islands of Montecristo and Pianosa and the mainland. There are boat trips to the various islands.
If you are feeling adventurous, try an hour or so at the Diving Centre on Capoliveri beach which organizes short "expeditions"
Porto Azzurro, only 3 km away, is a delightful old fishing village, that is now a harbour and fashionable resort, where there is plenty of nightlife.
